To those who say this looks like trash: I would say the beauty is not so much in the color scheme or even the coordination...I'd say the beauty is taking street wear and creatively making it into high fashion. Each piece incorporates that to some extent, and I admire how Virgil does this. Art does not necessarily have to look pleasing to the eyes....otherwise the world's standard of beauty would create the same 'beauty' in every single design. I think it's more of the craftsmanship, creativity, and what is trying to be conveyed that can make it beautiful to look at if that makes sense.
They're worse and that's why they don't open nor close the shows. The triggering fact is that Bella and Kendall aren't that great either but are almost always seen getting to open or close at major/popular fashion shows despite their walks being so dead.

And how many ways can you cut a shirt, shape a dress, tailor a pant. I appreciate his journey. From printing graphics onto champion clothing to now. Everyone knows someone who prints graphics onto t shirts and calls it a clothing line. The humblest of beginnings.
And the funniest thing is that collection being 20 years old exactly most if not all of those garments could have passed for being a nike collab in 2018. Virgil weakness is his inability to bridge ideas conceptually and fully. I understand that he plays with semiotics and I'll even forgive him for digging into those particular archives (as they can be helpful) but what he really needs to learn to do is expand an idea creatively. What is this offering in terms of craftsmanship? Because apparently emblazoning a tired gown with iconography and pairing it with a stiletto or a sneaker does not a memorable collection make. The only takeaway from this show is that it had more diversity than mcqueens did. Other than that, meh.
