Not a very good origin, a good origin in my opinion is an origin where the debuffs perfectly match the amount of buffs, this origins is way too overpowered, giving you demi-godlike powers for the cost of some extra hunger
Honestly, if they just made the burning in daylight a guarantee, made it so you could never gain exp (always hunger unconditionally, no way to enchant ect.) And made it so like- I don't know you can't see well when exposed to any light? Like even night time surface is too bright. This might be tame... That and maybe get rid of the creative flight.

Here's an idea: make it so you can't go to the surface AT ALL (from regular stone level you get big debuffs)
And make it so a light level of 7 or higher ALSO strarts the burning process

Sometimes I like playing op origins just for the heck of it. It's definitely one of those origins where you usually use it in a single player world for fun rather than using it on an origins server to DESTROY other origins users so i don't think they will implement the changes you suggested for simply because it is supposed to be OP
This was my first try at making an "official" origin that I share with others
TBH Most of the origins around sculk have been a bit dissapointing. Origins should be about fundamentally changing how a player survives along with cool powers to facilitate that process. Since the sculk is all about spreading and sound detection I wish people would expand on that more. Eventually I'll design an origin with this in mind and I have a couple really cool ideas. Without revealing too much, the design of the character will be like creating a "network" to survive.

Oh no! I would forgo of every ability after creative flying, they are not really conected to the skulk and dont make much sence
Exchange creative flying for facing trhough objects like the phantom and keep the no fall damge.
And add big debuffs for going to the surface or make it so you burn in daylight so you have a challenge in finding food, Maybe do it so not all ores give you experience

Nice new favorite origin so this will be at number 2 or 3 spot as I prefer phasing origins but still would choose it if had the option

I'm sorry this was my first and only origin i wanna cry out of embarrassment. I also got sick and stressed out of embarrassment. This was an awful idea. EDIT: still pretty embarrassed with this so much I'm never doing this again so this'll be a dead project now

Personally, I think this origin sucks. Not as in it’s not powerful, but the obvious fact that it’s incredibly overpowered. It feels as if the creator just wanted to think of as many buffs as possible while not actually wanting to include downsides. Balanced origins are more fun. Having a ton of buffs, even some that feel random and don’t need to exist at all (what’s the specific reason to include throwing arrows? nothing in minecraft is shown to do this) then having downsides that don’t matter (exp to feed yourself, but you start underground and can just instantly mine rare ores for exp, then the burning meter is a joke) just makes the most boring thing imaginable. I’d rather play vanilla Minecraft than just be able to do a bunch of random overpower stuff with not no downside, but even worse, useless downsides that would only result in being slightly tedious. They should’ve made this as a mod where you unlock the abilities instead of including it in origins.
@josephmartin9737 I don't know how to make mods that's the thing and yeah it was personal use I'm not gonna be making another at all anyways I'm terrible at this stuff and I think I added a joke tag to the post
