Dear Kim. I want to let you know how very much I love your videos. I am getting such great information on my 9400 most of which I couldn’t find or really understand in the manual. Your ‘walk thrus’ are fabulous and so easy to understand. Thank you, thank you
Thank you so much for your tutorials. Whenever I get frustrated I listen to you, your calming voice and your wonderful instruction. I am only on my first month with this machine and I cannot imagine learning without your videos. Again, thanks.
These wonderful videos are so helpful!! I’m taking delivery of the Janome 9400 this week and I have been watching these videos to familiarize myself with some of the functions. Thank you for these tutorials!
Love your videos! Could you do a video looking at tension settings. I am sewing batik on my 9400 and having a terrible time getting proper top tension (puckers all along) I have moved upper tension up and down. Maybe this is something I need my quilt shop to look at? Thanks
Hi Dawna: Thanks for watching. I will add this to my list of video ideas. I haven't had any issues with sewing batiks, but you might want to check the dial on the right side of the machine. This is a balancing dial, usually used for when fabric is puckering when using the walking foot. It should be set at 0, but maybe it has shifted. Give it a try and see if that works.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Finally! What I miss is how to save settings and get back to them later. Further I would like to know how to use Stitch creator. Thank you again for sharing.
You're welcome, Esmeralda. I am starting to look into the Stitch Creator - lots to learn there. I hope that I'll be able to have more information on this in a few more months.
I have learned more about my machine with all your tutorials than I did when purchasing the machine. Maybe, it was too much information to absorb all at once!. I did not know that I had a remaining bobbin thread alert. When the bobbin is close to the end, where does this alert inform me? Is it a sound or does it come up on the screen?
I'm glad you are finding the videos helpful, Judy. You can adjust when the low bobbin alert goes off and when it gets to that point (amount of thread on the bobbin), it beeps at you. Ignore at your own risk ;)
I wasn't sure where to ask this question so am asking it here: Is there a way , when using the alphabet, to have the machine stop when at the end of your pattern?
Hi Polly: For more information on using the monogram feature on the machine, go to ruclips.net/video/J_OLw3M93DE/видео.html. When I am stitching monograms, I can see which letter the machine is stitching and will push the Stop button when it is on the last letter that I want it to stitch. The machine will automatically stop after stitching that letter and lock off that last letter/stitch.
I had totally forgotten how to adjust the remaining bobbin thread warning, I knew you would have the info in your videos...thanks again

Is there an update for the 9400. Love your videos
You can always check on the Janome Global website for machine updates. You can find it at www7.janome.co.jp/global/product/machineupdates/.
Fantastic video. Sweet machine
The variable zigzag is usually used for thread painting. The more you move knee lift the wider your zigzag
Thanks, Rob, for the advice about the variable ZZ. I need to try this out as it is something that I haven't had on any of my previous machines.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! Finally! What I miss is how to save settings and get back to them later. Further I would like to know how to use Stitch creator. Thank you again for sharing.

Judy Alieff , I second that!
