Dear sir, I bought a LG dual inverter air conditioner a few days ago. I am facing a problem now or maybe it is my misunderstanding. After setting room temperature (between 26 degree to 30 degree) in AC, when AC achieves that room temperature (between 26 degree to 30 degree). Then the AC outdoor unit turns off. The compressor stops and the fan stops. After a while the compressor starts and the fan starts. It is working like a non-inverter AC. Question 1. Can an inverter AC turn off the compressor after reaching room temperature (between 26 degrees to 30 degrees)? Question 2. Between 26 degrees to 30 degrees invite AC, why is it working like a non invite ac? Question 3. Why does Invit ac variable speed stop working between 26 degree to 30 degree temperature?
Inverter AC should not stop after reaching the set temperature. Check the ac should be in cooling mode and not any other mode. Get it checked by LG authorised technician if it stops at any temperature.
I showed this problem to LG technician. The technician says that it should be kept between 30 and 26 degrees in any AC. Any inverter AC will turn the compressor off and on. If you keep your LG AC temperature between 26 to 30 degrees and check it once and make a video, it helps a lot to understand.

Non inverter ac cool faster but they are not able to maintain the temperature. But inverter ac cool slowly but once they achive the desired temperature then they are able to maintain that better. This may be the reason for your problem. Or there may be some problem with the ac. Get the ac blower also checked by the technician. Sometimes ac blower gets blockes or sometimes gas pressure is low in ac.
Non inverter ac gives much faster cooling than inverter. Although it's not excess cooling as compared to inverter but cooling is much faster. Personally i feel non inverter ac are much better in terms of cooling. Only drawback is that non inverter consumes much more electricity than inverter ac.

No cooling will not be maintained in non inverter. Cooling wil not be majntained by the ac but room will not suddenly get hot. It will take time to increase the room temperature slowly depending upon how much air sealed the room is. Compressor will start again once the temperature of room increases than the set temperature. You will get know when the compressor starts as generally there is a sound of compressor starting and ac sound will change as cooling starts.

Buy non inverter only if your usage is very limited like 3-4 hrs. If your usage will be more then inverter makes sense as it will save money on electricity bills overtime.
