@@MAC0071234 It does not matter. If she does not want an arrest then dont arrest. Cops arrest way too many people with these crazy rules. Some places they are required to arrest someone on every call. That is just stupid.

@@timbeatty11 i was in that situation. My ex partner had accused me of domestic violence. And yeah when cops got there, she had one hand mark on each forearm after i held her when she picked up porcelain plates that she threatened to break. Keep in mind, this was after she had slapped me when i was going to sleep on the couch, broke my glasses, phone and every picture frame i had in the apartment.
Cops got there, i had no injuries on me and she was crying because she felt “scared”. The next day she called the DA to tell them she didnt want to press charges and was told, “its not up to you anymore. Its now the state against him”.
I hired private counsel and was able to obtain the police report. When reading through it, i was left in shock as to just how this woman could have lied! The biggest lie of them all was her telling the cops that the reason a rectangular multi picture frame was broken, was from her trying to “break free” from my grip. That picture frame was hanging above closet doors, so you tell me… how can a 5ft woman, hit a picture frame with her elbow when the picture frame is hanging 3 feet above her?
Thankfully i was able to have the case thrown out after she made the dumb mistake of trying to get me to come back and telling me, “i will tell them the truth and tell them that you didnt touch me until i hit you and broke your things”
I did meet with her after the case was thrown out and let me tell you, nothing had changed! She was still the same blackmailing woman i was with! She began with the whole “if you dont do this, i will call the cops and tell them you did this” despite me not having done anything!

Looking up a plate doesn’t seem that bad. But when you become an officer, you have unfettered access to many databases. The government has an interest in keeping that stuff confidential so they prosecute it hard.

Maybe the negative culture is one main reason for poor recruitment & retainment in SJPD.
Voters need to explicitly know the criteria that will achieve a well staffed SJPD, and we need to collectively advocate for that for our San Jose.
Lay people need to know the most influential reasons (1) SJPD officers quit SJPD, (2) other police departments are better employers & work environments, (3) why an officer would be motivated to apply and stay with SJPD, and (4) why an officer would be motivated to stay in the profession until retirement.
For example, in the context of nursing, a study of 200 hospitals showed that four of the most influential criteria reported by 150,000 nurses are:
    (1) toxic culture, (2) organizational support, (3) compensation, and (4) workload.
Among the 4 top criteria, Toxic Culture was the most commonly reported problem among nurses who resigned from their employer.
Also, Toxic Culture was the most commonly reported problem post-pandemic.

I am delivering a sermon to you 🙏😊 please read
Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better.
And addressing/thanking the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea.
Or just be my friend if you don't want to say the prayer 😄
I'm trying to help you get right with the LORD 🙏
    Amen.
I have worded a short prayer for you to say if you are not sure what words to use, it may not be the best but here it is 😊
'' CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD,
Please forgive me and my friends and my family for our immoral acts, please help guide us in a positive direction and please help us against evil. Please save us from Hell and have mercy on our souls. Thank you for everything CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD. Amen. ''
Please say this at least once a day for at least a month, do it longer if you want to and can 🙏
You should prostrate yourself if you don't want to do spoken prayer, or do both 🙏😊 Please worship the LORD GOD and not any idol.
Please put your hands together 🙏 bow your head and say this prayer:
"CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, please know that I worship you and not any idols. Thank you for everything CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD. Amen"
Say ' Om Namah Shivaya ' out loud or in your head 108 times, or try to do it 1008 times 😊 try to do it everyday if you want
repeat this aloud for as long as you want to, try to do it for like an hour a day or say it in a prayer "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner" 🙏🙏
You can also say this prayer once a day or repeat it aloud as many times as you would like to:
"Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen."
    Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
    Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
"O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!" Repeat this aloud at least 3 times or as many as you want, do it everyday if you can
I apologize for all the words 😊 I know how it may look

Though I don't approve of it, the first guy (using the company car for personal use) is 'crooked' but I don't feel it's as bad as outright corruption or criminal behavior. I've seen THOSE before in my life time with some cops. That's just a misappropriation of department resources, which is bad, but I'd rather they focus on bad and corrupt behavior with the public.

So that's your answer to police misconduct- to say there should be no news about it? That's called transparency- people are allowed to know about the actions of our public servants for better or worse in a free society. To suggest getting rid of ALL police as a result of transparency means you must want to live in a police state where corruption and crime among the ranks is celebrated rather than punished. You will likely be happier in countries like China or Russia.
