Naila movie was so beautiful. Lovely ghazals, lovely singing, and beautuful Shamim Ara, handsome actors. I watched this movie so many times in Lahore 1965 to 1967, when I was MBBS student there. Those lovely days are gone ,but not forgotten. Naila was the most beauitful movie I have ever seen.

Hats off to the singer Mala Begum (late), the compozer (late) Master Inayat Hussain and the poet (late) Qateel Shifai. Interesting fact is that Mala Begum named her only daughter Naila after this movie. This movie is considered one of the greatest successes of the Pakistan film industry.

I share same view.I watched several movies of the pair in Dhaka.I switched my loyalty to zeba and waheed.Its been 60 yrs or so i still remember every moment.I was only 10 then I used to walk with my elder brother and line up for third class tickets for hours for merely 10 anas maybe 75 paise later.

The film industry is finished and wiped out in Pakistan.Bharat maintains it but where is their standard.They rely heavily on scantiness,sex,abusive language and action.Repeated dictatorship eventually disappeared our film industry Bharat is also not doing well.They have an old angry young man(Salman Khan) and nothing else.I am not against Bharat but trying to say that actually the film viewers are also not the same.Once they belonged to upper middle class but now they belong to very deprived quarters of society.Their thinking is different and now Bharti films reflect their mindset.

Yes. Netflix and other platforms have undermined film industry both in India and Pakistan. In the 1980s the PTV had wonderful dramas on line. I really enjoyed. I learnt Urdu to read headlines. Then situation changed and all got lost. Now these songs bring memories back. Tastes have changed.
