    I have won several bibles in giveaways and use them in our local church ministry. I love being able to give the Word away to God’s people.

    I am so pleased you did this review. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love the beautiful high end bibles but I can’t get myself to really use them. I can’t bring myself to mark them up but I still want a bible that will last a decent amount of time. I also want to be okay with moving on to the next one when it is too marked up.

    I’ve been looking for a nice compact ESV as I find the bigger bibles a bit cumbersome when travelling. So this review of the crossway thinline convinced me it’s the one for me! Thank you so much

    Thanks for the review. Going to a men’s shelter in a couple of weeks. I have a few of these on hand to leave behind.

    I have the ESV Thinline Reference and the ESV Large print Compact. They are excellent and not expensive.

    I like the very basic hardcover pew bibles from crossway.

    Thin line is a great one . My first ESV was a thin line I used it everyday for over 10 years. Yea the cover did show a lot of wear . I have to say it took a lot . It was in my car , my backpack I use for work and it went with me on vacation in my suitcase. The binding did not fail. I still have it I will never give it up . I did switch Bibles a few years back only due to font size .
    Blessings

    An interesting selection of Bibles. I have the Crosswsy Large Print Trimline turquoise..,that is really nice, the Personal Size Large Print, innZtrueTine Chestnut that I really like, and the $6-8 Large Print Paoerback... This one is not seen, and gas re am Lily cheap paper, but had a 12pt. Font.
    Crosswsy does put out a nice variety of Bibles suitable for gifting.
    I received a white Bible upon my confirmation in the Methodist Church, when I was 12 I think it was probably covered bonded or genuine leather, and the print was pretty small . I probably used it through college.
    Well... That littleBible is still going, and I will be 78 In September. I gave it to my youngest grandson, who will soon bec15.
    So...My advice is to buy the best gift Bibles your church can afford... especially if the occasion is important, snd you want the Bible’s to last.

    This is great! I needed really needed this. I realized recently that we don't have any giveaway Bibles at our church, and was a bit daunted by tons of the options out there. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of "reviews" or anything for this end of the spectrum.

    That $3 paperback is one of the better paperback Bibles out there today to be honest.

    Thanks for the reviews. Christianbook.com has some better prices than Amazon so I ordered a few different styles of the value thinlines for our childrens ministry. Going to use these as a giveaway for a few of the children that do not have their own bible.

    Sir, does your Church go live on the internet? Like Facebook live? I'm from a different country and I wonder if I can hear your sermons (aside from the sermons that you uploaded here on YT) every Sunday. Thanks!

    Could you do a review on Nave's Topical Bible? Is it revelant today with the internet?

    Good reviews. But, my eyes need at least a 10.5 font. I just purchased a NKJV, larger print, value priced Bible. My next Bible will be an ESV Study Bible. I'm willing to pay more for a quality one.

      Christianbook.com has good sales sometimes, esp of "imperfectly printed." It just means they made a mistake when they tried to imprint a name on the front. All it has is a small rectangular cutout. I guess they just cut the messed up name right out. You can barely see it & it doesn't even look bad at all. That's how I got my lg print ESV study. Love it!

    Thanks for doing this review. I would really appreciate it if you did a review of each of the Crossway children's bibles. They have three or four that are designed specifically for younger children. I'm considering options for my children as they start reading in the next couple of years. More broadly, what are your thoughts on children's bibles? Thanks.

    These are also good when you just want a different version for help in study.

    I think that the Nasb childrens bible is really good. Another one would be the esv children's bible.

    Be very careful with the new translations, some of them Mis-translated 2 Samuel 21:19. Instead of saying “...killed the “brother” of Goliath...” they omit “brother.”

    • @bbenkert
      @bbenkert 3 года назад

      Is it mistranslated or is "brother" just not there in the Hebrew text? It wouldn't be an omission if its not there in the Hebrew text.

    • @gunthertoody5043
      @gunthertoody5043 3 года назад

      @@bbenkert: Let me put it this way...who killed Goliath? David killed Goliath. So in 2 Samuel 21:19 it should say.... “...killed the (brother) of Goliath...”. Goliath was already killed by David much earlier. I hope I’ve made it more clear.

    Matthew Everhard, it's quite obvious that you don't know the TRUE Bible.
    Why would anyone who knows the Bible, give away those erroneous ESV translation.
