I can't remember the road number, but my first HO loco I bought was a Proto 2000 0-6-0 for CP. It was all gray, not black with gray, not silver with gray, but all gray. Haven't been able to find one since, and I miss it dearly. Axle snapped, and the place I took it to gave me credit and stripped it for parts (I bought it there, and they forgot it wasn't an item for sale. I'm not mad about it since they were extremely apologetic and gave me a discount on future purchases). Now, my next project is a Roundhouse 3 truck Shay kit I bought. Wanted a Shay for years. I'm going to wait until life settles down enough before I build it.
Nice. BUT, there were locomotive builders other than USRA. What about giving us a Baldwin, Cooke, or Schenectady built small steam? Us SP,/TNO., CofG. and others are left dry.
recently I have purchased a Broadway Limited paragon 4 2-10-4 T&P 610. I was wondering what dcc controller do you use? I currently have 4 dc/dcc locomotives and I am currently using them on my dc system and they give all of the cv programs in the manual
A little confused by the expansion link placed as if it were a Walschaerts locomotive when the model is clearly set up as if it were using Bakers gear.. Crosshead flops around and is clearly floating/not making contact with the top guide. Proto 2000 0-6-0 is a better investment for the money
It’s a Bachmann, where they will use any old tooling for parts as they can. The old 0-6-0’s have plastic guides and broke or warped constantly. Heck I need a new set of cylinders for my old Casey Jones 0-6-0. I kind of expect the cheapness from them at this point.
I really do like the long format - the detailed overview is unparalleled!
This is definitely a step up from the previous runs, but I'd love to see Walthers Proto bring back their 0-6-0s with similar roadname variations.

Walthers got out of the steam market they won't be coming back.
@@OriginalBongoliath Wishful thinking lol. They'd make quality stuff for sure!
@@OriginalBongoliath and those 0-8-0s were also solid!
I think this is a really decent model. Bachmann has been kicking out some great things lately, detail and sound is great!

Shes a real smooth operator James. I believe that's an oil tender too. 🤩Real nice sounding whistle there.

Thank you.
It appears from the fittings on the tender, the locomotive is an “oil burner”.
UP usually ran oil and converted their coal burners to do so. California railroad so there was plenty of it around compared to coal.
So cool. 👍

Yeah that valve gear looks and runs whacky as heck. That’s honestly enough to keep me from buying one
good catch, I didn't notice that.

Man I want to get these.
I love Bachmann steam 😊
Thinking about this since I can’t exactly afford $600 for the BLI 0-6-0 🙈😭
Can it run on analog transformer an 22 inch curve
Since its DCC, it can run on DC, but best to have a DCC system.
Can it run on analog transformer
Yes DCC Econami can run on DC.
Ho N O Marx American and the American flyer 😊😊😊😊😊
