Practice CAT III Flaps 40 Autoland in VMC. Both A and B autopilots remain engaged through-out the approach. The autopilot and autothrottles are disconnected after touchdown. This was filmed on the Canon EOS 60D with a Canon 15-85 lens. - Авто/Мото
The cockpit lights are so nice
We don't get to do many of them during the summer.
In order to stay current, you need to practice even though the conditions do not require an autoland.
This is what I want to do with my life! So inspirational!
Me too
Yea. Autoland sucks
***** Definately! Part of being a pilot is being able to fly the aircraft yourself, not having computers do all the work for you.
Don't pilots only use autoland when landing in bad wather/demonstrating how it works on youtube?
I guess they do yeah. Imagine landing manually in fog. That wouldn't work out that well would it?
wow the first Cockpit Video with amazing quality on youtube. Thanks !
nice to see more videos on your channel.
What cameras are you using!? I see some gopro footage from other videos but those night shots aren't gopros for sure...
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Interesting, nice view, thanks for taking the time to make & sharing with us!
Amazing video mate!! I love all the video's on your channel!! HUGE LIKE!!
Great video! Love your stuff man!
Awesome as always!
Thank you for uploading this!
Please upload more! One of my favorite youtube videos is from you sir!
Such a nice video guys please post more videos like this
Extraordinary video! Well done sir!
Amazing Vids, Never Stop your such an Inspiration :)
Very good video. Big like. Keep uploading more.
Stunning!
When you press the button on the side of the throttles the A/T disengages, then you can hear the horn and when you press the yellow alarm button next to the red (fire) one, the horn stops.
The yoke is slaved to the AP commands and the PF will follow through the AP and AT with hands on the yoke and throttles to monitor and take corrective action/take control if required, for whatever reason. The Captain isn't really "using" the yoke as you mean, however.
Your videos are awesome! Love it! :D
Cool video.
Málaga! Nice video :D
Time for the next video ;)
great vid! :D please, add some more
This stuff is just the coolest thing on earth
Spectacular!
Do you record the voice from the speakers in cockpit or do you use a cable from your camera? Love your videos! Keep it up!
Amazing!
Very nice.
Thanks for clearing it up for me!
amazing!
ENCANTADO CON EL VIDEO SALUDOS
amazing cloud!
Inspirational stuff from a privileged position - great editing too 👍
usually autolands are performed during bad visibility conditions (fog), and during fog fast wind (and gusts) doesn't occur
Absolutely awesome! Do you record this video in Italy?
Thank you
Lovely
Yeah I was just wondering in case it maybe stayed on the center-line using the rudder, as I would imagine that would be useful in low-vis conditions
Another great video. Is that Malaga? I'm booked to start my Instrument Rating there after my
It's the A/T (auto throttle) disconnect horn.
wassup golfcharlie232, you're the best man, thanks for posting so great and inspiering videos, May god protect you up in those hights and keep posting your videos they are awesome man, Big thumbs up for you!
PS, I also want to become a comercial pilot, could you give me any tip i could think of in the future?, i'm a 14 years old boy, lives in sweden and im in 8th grade with big dreams! and i would really appricete if give me a respond on my comment, thanks in advance and good luck!
Good thought but that's not really necessary since the pilots are very well able to see the centerline. If the visibility would be so low that you can't see the centerline you wouldn't land because at roughly 200 feet above the ground you have to have the runway lights in sight or you go around (the so called minimums).
could you do a longer one please, at sunset time like this one
Nice video
Does the autopilot auto-disengage during touchdown or is it disengaged manually?
could you upload the full approach? great video
"A" stands for at or above FL,
"B" stands for below FL
This was filmed on the Canon EOS 60D with a Canon 15-85 lens.
No, ILS is not the same as autoland. ILS follows a glide path which the plane follows. The plane follows this all the way to the runway, but the plane doesn't flare. Because of this, usually about 100 feet of the ground, the autopilot is disconnected and the plane is still landed manually. With autoland, the plane still follows a glide path, but the plane flares by its self, so the plane can be landed by the autopilot without the last few metres needing to be flown manually. :)
Lewis Morrison yes mate :)
Joseph Russ
Then what do you think it was? You can clearly hear the autopilot switching off after touchdown.
Yeah the beautiful LEMG , in my opinión the best airport in spain
After touchdown the aircraft started to veer to the left, A/P was disconnected and this was corrected manually. If you hadn't disconnected the A/P would it have corrected this automatically?
Nice approach. But one question. Whenever an aircraft is only certificated for a RVR of 200m the pilots turn off Autopilot at 50ft?
Is the horn after touch down marking that the plane is in manual control?
Nice autoland......
Nice video! Which airport is that?
May I question did you flare
Hi golfcharlie232, i just got one question, for wich company do you fly for ?
Dear Charlie.
I would like to know what the height of the flight control computer A or the letter B?
But what it means after the height of the font?
eg:
FL500 9000
FL5000A
FL3000B
is that cagliari elmas airport....right?
Read the description, Practice Autoland :)
There was a brief alarm on touchdown, was that the AP disconnect?
yes
hi Mervin. I am not sure how the piloting system works but here in the US a CPL just enables you to be paid for flying. and most airlines require an ATP and sometime a 4-year degree loll I am 14 and have the same dreams as you
u a pilot now? i am now in the shoes u where and in training
What was your touch down speed It's kind of hard.
This is Málaga (LEMG), no?
For example Im portuguese if i will work in Swiss Intl. i need to know German,French("National languagues")....But im portuguese,to work at TAP I only need to know English and portugueses,is that? I answer to your question?
Buenos saras
Why do you use autoland if the conditions are so nice? :)
Next thing I know, the autoland is going to need a auto-autoland.
👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍
Is this LEMG?
Is this 70D viedorecord?
Nice! Without music video is much better. ;)
Inb4 everybody is a pilot and knows everything about flying and IFR procedures.
If its autoland why does it look like captain is using the yoke?
ok, thanks
Malaga LEMG ?
Quite a positive landing, wasn't it ? ...
You mean the AP disengage. A/T doesnt have a sound ;)
So the autopilot landed the whole airplane?
yes
No, only half of the airplane landed that time.
+EOlmos009 Lmaoooooo!!!
The A/P disconnected by itself I'm sure. It's not gonna break or taxi for you. lol
Plane is practising autoland :D
Etwas harte landung
without cuts if possible :)
Has to be done manually
it was 140 knots
I think because the pronuciation is very italian and i can confirm it because I'm from milan
yeah because they come safely down so :D
and the passengers are clapping anyway^^
Why auto land, it's good visibility
Hello Can you tell something about you? Are you a real pilot? What plane do you like/fly? On what videos are you and on what videos are friends? 737 is with you? How old are you? Wait for answer! TTTSanekTTT/Tolstov Alexander
He fly a Boeing B737-800
Ryanair
I found this video /watch?v=tYDykHSeaLw.
The Autopilot disengages at 3:26 and the A/T remains on.
No hard feelings :)
Read the bloody info and comments
I thought there is no such thing as auto land
+Speirs 333 there is, it even flares itself
The airport and weather have to meet really strict parameters, but in some planes the autopilot is capable of landing the airplane
Hacker
Splendid !!!!
