    Thx for posting! Great info....I purchased one of these brands in the years you suggested this past summer and got an amazing discount off new price. I did some fixing on it since it had some neglected maintenance and needed the roof sealed and the HWH leveling system re-done, but now it's good and we drove it to SoCal this fall from MN and are living in it and working out here. We could not be happier with it!!! It is a Kountry Star 3778 with double slide. After fixing some of the HWH components this past summer, I ran out of time and simply drove it to the factory in Iowa on the way here to finish the job, they took good care of me.
    The coach maker has also been super good about sending any little part we break (like a door stopper) right away, with free shipping. The big block chevy purrs like a kitten. All the rain here this Winter has not got inside the coach at all. It feels more quality than travel trailers I have had in the past for sure. Appreciate all your videos and info, it helped me to make a good buying choice and I am grateful to u for that...

      I'm so glad to hear about your positive experience with a Kountry Star coach. It sounds like it's the perfect RV for your situation. I hope you have lots of happy experiences in it!

      Hi Bryan. The Winnebago Adventurer is another great gas powered Class A from the early 2000's. I hope you have lots of fun adventures in it!

    I purchased back my 2001 Winnebago Adventurer from the owners who purchased it from us 3 years prior. Unfortunate circumstances of losing her husband. We had it 12 years prior. I had sold it to buy a house boat, and missed traveling to different places. It looks identical to the Tiffin from the side. They're built on the same platform. Love the solid wood interior and fiberglass top.

      Those older Adventurers were very well made coaches. Congratulations on being able to get it back. And have safe and happy travels in it!

    Thank you for sharing this video! I have older relatives considering purchasing a 2007 Newmar Kountry Star gasser with the W24 chassis. We owned a 2000 Monaco Windsor diesel pusher and really enjoyed it. However, i know little about the gasser options! Appreciate you! ❤

      I'm glad it was helpful. Also remember that any older motorhome needs to have a full thorough inspection by a certified RV inspector first and I would also recommend getting a fluid analysis on all of the drivetrain fluids too. That way you know for sure what you're buying. Thanks for watching and for the positive feedback too!

    Another great video, thanks Duane, Any advice on on upper limits on miles when purchasing used.

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Jason. Many older RVs don't have a lot of miles on them as they have only been used on occasion throughout the years. But my advice would be to make sure that regardless of the mileage, a fluid analysis is done on all engine and drivetrain fluids to verify the internal condition of those components before buying the RV.

    Thank you Duane for another great video. I'm on my second used Fleetwood class A gasser. Both have been great. And most importantly like you say get an inspection. And also do the maintenance DIY if you can. Love the channel. Been a fan going on 3yrs. Keep up the good work.

      @RVInspectionAndCare  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, you are so right. They were owned by Monaco too and the downturn took them down. And so far the brand hasn't resurfaced..

    Starting at 25k? That is 10% of the new price. Talk about depreciation. WOW!

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  9 месяцев назад +1

      Depreciation takes a hefty chunk out of RV resale values for the first 10 years or so. After that it slows down quite a bit and the RVs I mentioned in this video can be found at prices that depreciate very slowly from here on. Especially if you take care of them.

    We have a 2005 National RV Dolphin LX gasser! It is very well made. They did have some lower quality ones in their line up, but LX is very high quality. Unfortunately they were a victim of the economic crunch and did not survive. Most everything for them is still available. It has lot of options that where before there time at that time.

      Hi Bob. National RV made some great motorhomes back in the 2000's. And I'm glad you have a coach that you are really happy with from that period. Have safe and happy travels in it!

    I have a National SurfSide 2007 in really good condition ( no delimitation and only 40k miles )
    Is it worth it to sell it and get a new Jaco Alane 29f ?
    I went to see one Alane new and National looks so well built in comparison with the new ones…..

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  8 месяцев назад

      I can't make that call for you Cristian. But I agree that those older pre-2008 RVs were built much better overall than the newer ones, especially the newer low-cost Class As like the Allante.

    What are your thoughts on Safari Trek. Linda

    • @RVInspectionAndCare
      @RVInspectionAndCare  4 месяца назад +2

      Hi Linda. Safari made a very good coach in the 2000s. They were bought up by Monaco and unfortunately went out of business when Monaco disappeared. If you can find one that has been well maintained through the years, it could be a very good find. Just make sure that you have it inspected by a certified RV inspector before purchase to be sure.

      Thank you so much for your kind gift. It's very appreciated! Just be sure to get the Transcend inspected by a certified RV inspector before you take ownership of it. All RV manufacturers have had their issues during the past few years, including Grand Design. So make sure that the rig you buy is in good workable shape. If it is, I hope you have lots of fun experiences in it!
