I'm a beginner. You're easy to follow. I had nearly given up on making bags, then I found your video. Thank You!! I'm following you here to make this one!
I am a beginner and I must say thank you, You are the only person that actually showed me how to make my bag with height and not width. I appreciate it.
Making these tote bags for my sisters for Christmas. I single crocheted instead of double crocheted. It’s looking so beautiful! I can’t wait until I see the finished product.
This was seriously the best tutorial !! the steps were easy to remember genuinely feel like I can remember how to do it off the top of my head and I love my tote 😭😭
I just finished making this bag in no time thanks to your amazing, easy following tutorial. My bag looks absolutely gorgeous, looking forward to doing more projects with youxxx
You are a good teacher. My granddaughter and I made our first bags a few weeks ago. But they came out slightly lopsided but still usable and we were very proud of them. But I learned some new tips from your video that will make our second bags come out better. Thank you!!! ( I did not know we were supposed to skip the slip knot stitch!!! That tip alone was priceless to learn. Again, thank you very much.)
I’m going to followed yours tomorrow you’re explaining it well I gave up on the last tutorial due to tricky corners doesn’t help when there’s no communication only subtitles
I love this tutorial, because it's was so fun to make + easy to follow (while I'm making my bag my crochet mind was thinking about how I can custom that bag, like if I want bigger bag I make longer chain + using different yarns and hooks). So HUGE THANK YOU for that tutorial! I was having fun to making + i want make more those bags.
Followed this tutorial as a guide and made some adjustments because I wanted it bigger, and I love it. I’m satisfied with how it came out considering it’s the first bag I’ve ever crocheted
thank you so so much. this is the first thing ive ever made with crochet, and it reallly made me smile seeing it come along. your tut was easy to follow, and your voice is so calming, the "okay" made me feel reassured and confident throughout the process, and it really just felt like having a friend teach me. i am so grateful, thank you sooooo much.
Im new in crocheting, and this is the easiest tutorial Ive ever watched,I made some adjustment though,I Added few more rowe, cos for some reason,12 rows looks more like a pouch than tote bag😅,turned out very nice.Thank you for this.
Amazing thank u so much I never made a bag before I have made blankets pillows and stuffed animals for my kids but this video was so easy to follow and I'm in love with my bag thank u so much
It depends on how big you want your bag to be....for bigger width you add more chains and for more height you add more rows. Any number of chains can do. Thank you for watching ☺️
Yes, if you want to increase the width of the bag you add more chains at the beginning....then to add height you add more rows at the top just before putting the handles. Thank you for watching ❤️
I would love to try this bag. Your instructions were clear, the only problem was understanding what kind of yarn is required. I would think maybe cotton or maybe a macrame type. I don’t know, I can see it’s round. I will have to get the pattern and see if I can figure it out. I am a beginner so I just don’t know on my own. Thank you.
Hi Thank you for teaching me. I made this one, it’s not perfect but I enjoyed making it in pea green and a longer handle 100 chains. It’s crooked on one side but once it’s got items in it, no one will notice. First time I’ve made a bag. Could not buy braided cord in New Zealand so had to get from America so cost me lots..
Will you try your hand on a “puff” tote tutorial? I got lost on the video I was watching and I was able to finish this one pretty easy thanks to you. I would love to see your tutorial.
to increase the width you add more chains at the beginning, then to increase the height of the bag you increase the number of rounds at the top before doing the handles
The strap count would be different...i suggest you lay your bag flat mark the points you would want your straps to be. Just make sure that you have the number of stitches from the edge to the strip of one side is the same as the other side ....that is when your bag is laid flat
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm currently in my 4th row and I enjoy crocheting. Your tutorial is super easy to follow. Thank you. Please create more tutorials :) Have a great one ahead.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I had try for the bigger size, but I'm a bit confused with the handle part Can you help ,how to divide the count of the stitches
for the handle if you lay your bag flat you can decide were you want to put your handles then you make sure the stitches you leave on the sides is equal
Hi. This is a great tutorial. I am a beginner and like the way you explain each stitch. II just received some cord that I ordered but the color is doll and it is also very hard to work with. If possible, I would like to know the brand of the cord you used, it looks very soft and not so hard to work with. Thank you for your tutorial!
the one that I used is cotton macrame cord from a local shop. I have noticed that polyester macrame cord is hard to work with and requires a bit of time to get used to it, so the softer one when buying is cotton macrame cord
Hie thank you for watching.....at times some of the rows or cones can be less than 220 mostly they are 200 metres so you would need to purchase another cone or reduce the size of the bag. You can reduce the size of the bag bey reducing the number of chains at the beginning and also reduce the number of rows to reduce the height.
Thank you for watching ❤️😌....it depends with the yarn you used but for starters you could add a number of chains then work the first two rounds and see if you like the new width, then you also have to add the rounds for height....or you are familiar with simple proportion you could use that like measure the bag you made and say if these chains gave me this certain width then if I want this new width I would require so and so much chains and calculate and do the same for the height....but
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I just finished doing this bag but I don't know what mistakes I made because it did not come same size. However, it still looks fantastic.
thank you for watching ❤️.... the size difference could be an issue with different tensions or slightly different yarn but I'm glad it looks fantastic 😊
I have a question when you making this tote and you’re going around with the double crochet does it really matter if you only put it in the back loops can you put it in both loops ?
I followed the tutorial but it keeps getting wider on the side. The part where I slipstitch the ends together is straight but the other side keeps getting wider... Any tips?
have you tried counting your stitches...if it keeps getting wider that means you could be mistakingly adding stitches....make sure when you do the slip stitch you do not add another extra stitch there and make sure you are putting one double crochet in each stitch ...try counting them after a few rounds to see if they are still the same
I had the same issue at first! You might be adding 1 extra stitch after the slip stitch and chain 2/3. I wasn’t skipping the first loop after that. Hope this makes sense and helps

I want to make a bigger side for my kids. Any advice 😊😊and guide please
to increase the width you add more chains at the beginning, then to increase the height of the bag you increase the number of rounds at the top before doing the handles
Question... Can you do more chains to make a bigger bag? and adjust the stitches at the end?
Yes you can add more chains to make it bigger
Wondering if u make bag a little bigger will the strap count be the same as yours in video though? Or how would I count to get my straps right?
The strap count would be different...i suggest you lay your bag flat mark the points you would want your straps to be. Just make sure that you have the number of stitches from the edge to the strip of one side is the same as the other side ....that is when your bag is laid flat
Im going to do this today

Very good could you pls tell me hoe many yarn did you use to make this tote bag
I used about 220 metres of macrame cord
Thank you for the tutorial! Will 2mm cord work for this? Bought the wrong size🙁
The 2mm will do just fine just add a few chains at the beginning and a few more rounds at the top towards the end to increase the size of the bag.
Hello! I have never crocheted anything in my life would this be good to start with? Also what needle size is used! Thank you!!
Yes this one is a good start. For this one I used 6mm crochet hook. If you don't have macrame cord just use any other yarn that is a bit thick
Hi beautiful work 😊
I bought the Amazon yarn link but just notitice that is less than 220m. Where did you find yours?
Thank you
Hie thank you for watching.....at times some of the rows or cones can be less than 220 mostly they are 200 metres so you would need to purchase another cone or reduce the size of the bag. You can reduce the size of the bag bey reducing the number of chains at the beginning and also reduce the number of rows to reduce the height.
Hi I want the same size as yours so do you have any tips to connect another yarn to have the 220m?
Thank you 😊
Hi ,Thos might sound a bit silly but i am not able to differentiate the right side and wrong side of the bag.The inside of it looks equally good
Hie...Since the bag doesn't have any visible seams which ever side you choose to be the right side will do just fine. Thank you for watching ❤️
Thank you...
Where did you get the macrame chord?? Also your an amazing teacher! You make it really easy to understand especially for a beginner!
You can buy it online on Amazon or Etsy, some shops that sell yarn also sell macrame cord. Thank you for watching.
Is the macrame cord cotton? I'm finding only cotton macrame cord but it doesn't look like cotton in this video. Thanks 🙂
