Hazuki, is such an awesome guitar player. She plays so effortlessly. I first noticed her in Li sa X's project. You would never suspect she's a world class guitarist, as she looks like a librarian.
Guys if Hazuki looked like a librarian I would have read all books twice by now xD I love how their sound combines, like you never know who is gonna slay next...And they're even more incredible live !!

I love that Hazuki just looks like a totally normal girl that could pass off as a school teacher or something... yet shreds on guitar in a metal band. Thats something I notice a lot in Japan, people don't always have to look or act a certain way to be involved in something. Also, there are so many amazing female shredders there. In the West, metal is always labeled as a thing for guys or when girls are in it they all overcompensate with crazy hair, clothes, and tattoos. Thats fine if people wqnt to do that but it comes across as very "try hard" so often but its refreshing to see a girl just be a cute classy young woman thats just as badass as anyone else.

Music, especially in this genre (but not limited to it to be clear); is all about personal expression. Its how we put ourselves into our music. So whilst there isn't anything wrong with your preference, it would be better if you avoided contrasting it with how others portray themselves in a way that makes them seem less or as if they are being judged. I have a good many friends who do what you call 'overcompensating'; and they are all Japanese/Chinese and so on. We have enough division between cultural approaches but as you will perhaps notice, Japanese are silent on their complaints with the west. So it would be nice, if you didn't write what you did in a way that implies shame on western musicians and artists. They aren't 'try hard'; they are just people expressing their preferences and many people look up to them and emulate them. Thats their 'preference'. In an ideal world I would have prefered you to have said that you liked her choice of style; rather than spoiled it a little by contrasting it with something else in a negative way - if that makes sense (hopefully). But that is again, just my preference and that of my colleagues. How people dress isn't a reflection of their talent but their personal feelings and taste. Much of which comes out in their sound. Not something that should be in any way shamed or picked on. Much like music its a constant flux of evolution.
*_Nemophila_* are certainly, most definitely up there alongside *_Band-Maid, Rolling-Quartz, Brats, Red Sonnet,_* and *_The Cybertronic Spree_* amongst many others... (IMHO) for their playing performance skills, vocal ranges (at times all 5 of them vocalise in a song!! which IS a rarity in most other bands), depth, emotion and song composition/covering ability etc etc....
The beauties and the damn sick awesome riff's. Keep it coming ladies, we need it to as much as we need those vaccines during this hard times. Stay safe everyone
when i grew up, used to love zacky v and syn gates and City of Evil era was goated esp guitar playthroughs. now im older and i am absolutely floored by this two. hidden gems. wish saki was still with nemo
It's suprising how much more precise Hazuki's picking is compared to Saki. Each of these girls are wonderful talents individually but together, they become something on a completely different level. Each has a style that perfectly compliments the other. Here's hoping we continue to get music from them.
I noticed Hazuki uses her thumb and forefinger, while Saki uses her entire wrist (and picks waaay harder) Saki's is a lot harder to control so I give her credit for learning that way - She has longer , thinner fingers than Hazuki also, -7 string must be a beast to play
Could you imagine Saki, Haruki with Kanami Tono, Misa of Band-Maid and Rei & Aya Kuromiya of Brats jamming together........ ..brain explodes in though of some collaborative antics, sounds and pure guitaring awesomeness from these 3 groups in some fashion/manner.
