Great interview, great guy. That t-shirt though. I follow him on Instagram and I encourage everyone else to do so, not just for his training philosophy. An all round good man.
That bench press video at the end left me sweating for 5 min... 😧😧😧😧 Didn’t know the guy, became a fan instantly!!! Awesome short story, we should hear more!!!
Swede is such an awesome dude. I love the 5th set methodology. Even in lockdown in the U.K, I only have a Olympic barbell, plates and adjustable dumbbells. I have no rack or bench, but I used the power clean as my heavy bench day, front squat ( cleaned the weight to front rack position) this was my technique lower body day, the power snatch was my technique upper body day, and deadlift was my heavy lower body day. I used the whole methodology of 5th set in lockdown and I realised that this system can be used for any athlete. I have became stronger even though I have very little equipment. Respect to Swede, really love the methodology 💪
Wow. I’m new to all this but seeing guys like Swede and JM TOTALLY blow up the stereotypes of weightlifters. I’m really enjoying the stuff these guys share on RUclips. Thanks!
I met Swede at the Arnold in 2017 after the convention closed. He was a friend of a friend. At the time I had nothing to say cause I had no idea who the hell he was. I wish I knew then what I knew now. I would have had so many more questions. Really regret missing that opportunity.
Awesome interview!!!! Looking forward to reading the information and learning so that I can avoid injury and pushing too much while getting stronger as well. The deadlift video you two did was an eye opener for me. Take care,JAZZY1
Love listening to Swede! Would have been even better if interviewer wasn’t interrupting and commenting every sentence. I’m sure this guy has value to elitefts, but I don’t think RUclips and social media is where it’s at.
Who wants more videos with Swede?
Yes please!!
Yes please, more training videos!
YES PLEASE!!
Yessss
Squat and bench coaching in the same format as the deadlift video would be fantastic
This is fantastic -- the meathead philosopher: articulate, thoughtful, tough, ex-con, reflective, intelligent. I'm definitely bought in.
Don't forgot Poet as well.
He's an amazing man. I've learned so much from him.

Awesome to hear brother. 👊🏽👊🏽
Swede is the perfect example of not judging people based on how they appear.
The intro to this is so badass
Awesome! I love the new timestamps feature, please use it more in the next videos!

So much difference between him (these guys: Dave Tate, 'Mountain Dog', etc) v/s Mark Rippetoe...
The key: Humility.
Great interview!!
Mr. Burns made my overall training better by implementing the principles from the recent deadlift tutorial. My gratitude towards you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of charisma. Like this guy
Amazing interview, thanks guys!
Thanks for watching!

I love learning from guys like Dave and Swede. Thanks fellas!
Great interview! 5th sets works fantastic for me. Team Swede all the way.
Good vibes man! I enjoy your thought process and your deliver and ability to speak overall, Much love
Great interview! I’ve been inspired by Swede since you guys started involving him more on the channel!
Most relevant coach in powerlifting today
Swedes videos are the best, more need done through a yearly basis.

This was great! Love hearing passionate people talk. Never settle and believe in what you are doing!
Definately need more swede on here.
Dude if Swede does a 5th set certification course I am 100% going to do it.
I’m doing it. At Elitefts. Hopefully end of fall.
Hell yeah Swede good shit brother!!👏😎
Met Swede during the Kern 19 Open Weekend seminar at CETC Gym. Best 100 bucks investment going for his seminar. Singapore Fan here.
It was great to meet you! 👊🏽👊🏽
@@swedeburns and keep up on the fucked up memes on insta bro xD
More table talks with Mr Burns please

More Swede, less... that guy
When he's not causing havoc on the high seas, he's setting epic PRs. They made sure he has a squat rack on his pirate ship.
6 years behind wire saved my life. 22 years out and night-n-day different
What a guy 👍.
Is Mr Swede from Sweden ?
I learned a lot in prison as well its where I found training was in jail and I perfected my mind muscle connection in prison
Swede is a good dude!
Swede Montgomery Burns! The boss!
Watch anyone who tucks their ears in their hat.
why is he always sweating?
Josh Goedker well that would do it!!
21:40 Benching without spotter arms makes no sense to me
Spotter arms are the fucking best! I use it for safety & to get an extra negative rep.
@@rob3332 exactly, so never bench deadly weight without spotter arms. human reflexes won't save you
I’m naturally strong I’m looking for a system to maximize the strength I have and get stronger
That interviewer needs to shut-up and let Swede speak. i think even the big guy himself was getting frustrated!
Very hard to listen to this man and not buy what he's selling.
Didn't like his book. A lot of filler and the actual parts dealing with the programme are uncessarily confusing
