    I remember going through the process of looking it up on the internet on stone #3 or 4, and there I was sucking down apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and lemon juice every hour. Needless to say, the outcome was the same. I was so convinced a regular intake of chocolate, soda, and red meat over months and years could just be canceled out in a few hours.

    How do you know which kind of stones you have?

    • @TheKidneyStoneDiet
      @TheKidneyStoneDiet  11 месяцев назад

      You ask your doc to analyze your stones when you pass them or after a surgery to break them up.

    I really needed a laugh today. The stories about beer and coke had me rolling. If beer worked; I wouldn't have had kidney stones when I was going to college. 🤣

    We got our pups at about the same time....My Porter scared me to death today at class… He picked up a stick and chomped down on it. I told him to drop it, and it looked like he was trying, but nothing came out… It got stuck between his teeth on the roof of his mouth at the back of his throat, and he began bucking like a bronco, I could not figure out what was wrong with him. If he ate a bee or what had happened ....it went on and on and finally the trainer Looked inside didn't see anything he kept bucking like a bronco, and then she stuck her hand in there and he had that stuck between his back molars… It was awful…blessings to you and Finn

      Ha ha too funny I was sitting down at the harbor after the puppy, choking incident, having a beer and attempting to relax after the drama… Very timely message on your part. Thank you!

    Why is red meat bad for stones?

    • @TheKidneyStoneDiet
      @TheKidneyStoneDiet  Год назад +1

      Red meat is not bad. All meat including seafood should be eaten within your protein range. Too much meat of all kinds can cause uric acid stone and calcium oxalate stones.

    My stones (3 and 4) won’t pass- stuck in a crevice in kidneys. Sometimes cause back/flank pain, but usually ok if hydrated. Doctor says I may need surgery with stint if stones grow, but she recommends a wait and see approach. Have had 2 lithotripsies. Large stone broke into 2, but never passed. Very careful with diet. WFPB, no processed food.

      Point is, not all stones pass, even with lithotripsy.

    • @TheKidneyStoneDiet

      I had an 8 mm and 9mm that were stuck in same kidney i didn’t know had them but frequent urination and sore side/back after working out or dehydrated. Had Uteroscopy to remove them both. Sent me to mineral metabolism doctor. Within 1 yr surgeon finds new 6mm same kidney, same place stuck. Told me to wait 6 months to remeasure/reassess. While waiting on another test, saw holistic doc who suggested supplement to dissolve. Glad I saw this. Mine are calcium oxalate
