I think this was by far the MOST ABSOLUTE BEST VIDEO on this camera I’ve seen yet now I am convinced I’ll definitely be leaving Nikon behind and moving over to THE KING 👑 OF ALL MONSTERS THE CANON 1DX MARK iii
Nice lady and looks like a genuine reaction from her to the camera. It was a smart idea to give it to a "working photographer" who already uses an earlier version of the same camera.
Preorderd! i mainly shoot videos but im slowly transitioning to photography i keep hearing about the glorius Canon colour & autofocus and hopefuly this is right decision.
Canon pulled out a fantastic DSLR, giving the users the maximum out of such camera. 16fps in OVF, 20fps in Liveview, abnormal buffer and heavy enough to protect yourself from some bulglars.
...Great camera, I had it for almost two weeks, coming from a 7D II and a 5D IV, I can say this camera is perfect for low light situations such as concerts, performances and editorial content, I can see the quality of the image when bumping the ISO over 10,000 and still a usable image. Looking forward for many more years with this system.
Tony Pags I finally got mine July 25th with the 16-35mm f2.8 L lens and I LOVE THEM MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN LIFE!!! That being said, the state of affairs has put a massive crimp on my ability to let her spread her wings :-(
@@obsidian00 I got mine on Valentine's day (Feb 14). I had one studio shoot and then the lockdown came into effect. Slowly started to shoot more outdoors with it now. All precautions taken when shooting with a model outdoors etc. Where are you located?
Tony Pags That’s the best Valentines Day present EVER I say...I am located in Atlanta, Ga. and while I have taken a few snaps here and there, I haven’t been killing the paying gigs but thankfully Photography is the side gig.
For over 20 years, I used my 300D and I don't think I ever moved out of full auto. Finally, this year, with some advice and guidance from a friend in the UK who is a superb photographer, I decided it was time to actually learn how to take pictures, rather than letting the camera do the thinking for me. I purchased a used 7D and 20D, and a couple of decent lenses. As I got more comfortable with the triangle, I decided to treat myself to a 60th birthday present: A 1DX Mark III. It's complete overkill for someone of my level, but who cares? I love it. Interestingly, I find that it "cooperates" with me much more readily than the 7D does. IIRC, at this point Canon is moving to mirrorless, and I know that the industry in general is going that way too. But I've got enough time and money invested in my DSLRs, and I'm really not interested in going to mirrorless. With a couple more lenses on my wish list, I'll have hardware that is definitely going to last and remain useful far longer than I will! (Besides, the mirrorless revolution means that used EF lenses are plentiful and affordable.)
Perfect camera if you are a retired dentist or decide you don't really need your brand new car 😂 The Mk1 looks sharper but noisier in fact it almost looks like a raw versus jpeg comparison as the Mk3 100% crop looks smudgey like its had in camera noise reduction applied. Regarding Wex as a company though I can highly recommend them! Great customer service and delivery is super quick!
I was 50-50 with upgrading, but will have to get the $ out now. It seems a world away from my 1dx and a good long term investment. Looking forward to part 2 and 3!!!
You two are funny! Thanks for the review. I feel this will be an awesome camera for wildlife! Decisions decisions!! I’ll need to upgrade from my 1D Mark IV soon. Not sure which I will get yet.
Hi Gary, glad you liked the video! The 1D X Mark III is fantastic for shooting wildlife, the specs are designed totally for that and sport photography (which on the whole need pretty much the same capabilities) . If you need any help with finding the right camera when you decide to upgrade, make sure to get in touch so we can try to find you the right camera. Thanks for watching - AM
@@MrGflan I actually jumped from a Rebel camera to a 1D Mark IV and 1Ds Mark III a few months back. Decisions decisions! Can't get enough from a EOS 1. It will spoil you.
Enrique Bucio the 1D Mark IV is still an awesome camera!! I just photographed a sleeping raccoon this morning way up in a tree!! Good autofocus and handles noise decently well. I originally had a 5 D Mark III and I found the autofocus case system really annoying and the camera just hunted all the time and never locked on, despite people telling me it was good. So I got rid of that for the 1D and love it. It still works, but I need a better low light fast indoor camera. I just can’t find anyone I can give my money away to!! This camera is sold out everywhere!! (1Dx Mark III). Maybe I’ll just get the version 2 and save myself money!!
Great video! On a nerdy note - one of the mics on an AVX or something with a bit of latency and the other not? Could only spot on the joint speaking bits :-)
neofelis BASS try the new 11 Pro in raw at 1600(nearly its max) it looks like Christmas lights lol my old 5D3 and Ds shoot way cleaner at 1600. 6400-12800 is my cut off
A9ii buffer runs out extremely fast & you have to wait for it to clear before shooting again. This camera can shoot literally 1000 image buffers why would you touch a flawed camera like A9ii?
Dave Ninjaneuro because what’s the point when the A9II has a worse shutter, buffer, connectivity, card formats, equal ISO and relative DR than the D5, 1DX2? You break it down and that’s the A9II in a nutshell.
@@MrAyybee2cold Isn't the A9ii like 2 grand cheaper and mirrorless which is a huge advantage? I shoot Lumix but if I needed full frame for wildlife I would go with Sony for sure. Canon and Nikon are jokes.
Joe Marano because you look at spec sheets. The A9II is on par and in someways worse than 2016 era DSLRs which are around the price of a new A9II. What’s the point in 20FPS electronic when you’re shooting around LEDs which cause banding. A flagship sports action photojournalism camera that uses two SD cards and buffers after 50 images(like the 1DX mk1). That’s a joke. Keep reading those specs Sony would love you as a consumer.
You may want to try the Sony A9 II together with a Sony 600mm 4.0 GM. Then you know what speed and excellent Autofocus is. Blows the 1DX Mark III out of the water.
You are talking about speed and af. What is in the A911? I think 12fps mehanical and 20fps electronic. Which camera has an edge now? You're A9Ii wont recognize your subject behind his/her helmet but the 1dx iii does. What is the maximum burst of your A9 before it stop shooting. 1dx iii thousands raw and jpg.

"this is not a review, this is me selling a load of kit"
Priceless!
8:10 At F/4 with less megapixels the image of the 1Dx mark One looks sharper than the 1Dx mark lll at F/5.6 in that comparison, why?...
mark3 seems oof
My thoughts about the noise comparison, the mark 1 has more grain but more sharpness aswell. The mark 3 has less grain but less sharpness.

If you use the "AF On" button for BBF how does that affect the focus point selection ???
