Mild’s 32nd to 2nd on THAT short of a dirt track with all those people driving like maniacs blows my mind

@phrodendekia The Comet Toofari's camera view is pushed back to a ridiculous amount. Like twice the distance you'd get if you were flying the game's 747 equivalent. And to stop players from cheating with the first person view inside the car, they've completely blocked off the windshield and I think the side windows too.

Haha that ending with the NPC... I'm Jascat, the NPC pulled me out of my car first so I came over to you thinking it would be funny to see him beat me up on your screen... Little did I know he had other ideas and pulled you out also.. what a guy
3 levels of random in this race:
the start position
the cars you get
the way you get crashed into in this rain gutter track with all those cars
was a good one to watch. and they should indeed be 20 minutes longer so you can get a comeback ;)
These fiveM random races are more chaotic than that “chaos mod” 😂
Hell would freeze over if Brough ever actually called someone out
After hearing about the "has_rally_tyres" flag, I really want a video about all the quirky/weird handling data r* has created and where/how it breaks haha
the way you always come out worse in any crash is amazing
The Weevil having good off-road traction loss is actually not a strange choice. The VW Beetle is know as a very good car during winter because of it's rear engine and RWD Layout which resulted in good traction. VW even used that in commercials like the famous "Snow Plow" commercial where the narrator asks the audience "Ever wondered how the snow plow driver gets to the snow plow?" and the snow plow driver is shown driving a Beetle.
It also had a go in Rally during the 60s and 70s
One version even got called the "Salzburg Rally Beetle" from 1971 - 1973
Yeah it was also tuned to rally back in the days…
I like that there are bumps on the off road bits. not just not-road flat grass. suspension vehicles getting a boost

Usually with take outs, like to give the other drivers the benefit of the doubt. Just some bad driving in this race though on their part.
Thats true, but if they aren't waiting it's down to Brough to call them out. Even if they were hit themselves they can call who they were hit by.
Did you see how short the track was? There was never any clear air, it was impossible not to hit people.
Looks like the community needs to hold another driving standards meeting. Maybe it's just this track being too small for 32 cars, but it was worse than usual.
it was the concoction of this being the third race of the session (the first two being rallies, so no normal races), the track itself being very tight and narrow and bumpy, on top of this being on a Saturday stream so more people with higher ping are joining.
That being said, there were four staff members who joined this race and none of us saw something from our respective POVs that was binnable beyond a reasonable doubt, given the context of the entire stream. Perhaps we should go back to being a bit more strict with things when we catch them.
@@DiNmiTe If most rallycross tracks were designed for 6 or so cars, maybe some slightly longer mixed-surface tracks would suit a 32 player random race?
Seeing Broughy use the joker lap route for it's better surfaces and gentler turns is inspiring some motorstorm-like ideas for some tracks. Maybe I should design and build one?
@@atomdoesracing2115 there are longer rallyx tracks, this one is just amongst the smaller tighter ones.
We've had two people try to design a motorstorm-like track before and they made such slow progress and the other track they made simply was not up to standard for the server. If the quality is up there then sure I guess but we don't add tracks just to host a random race on them

As much as I love offroad random races, that track just doesn't work for racing with high speed differentials as it is.
If it had a barrier so you could not short cut the curve before the jump it would work better, as it is, there is too many different lines, people coming off the bumps out of control, all trying to get through that narrow gap on to the jump.
this was weirdly hard to watch tbh, atleast the 2nd half some people seemed to get their shit together

@Chomp-Rock Look, all I'm saying is, yes I understand it was difficult cuz of the amount of people but some people here were doing blatant spinouts and not stopping cuz "they didn't get called out"
Therefore were being manic, no more discussions need to be made, play fair or don't play

what if Broughy does a chaos random all just in first person and then he re watches the entire race but in third person, just to compare how the carnage is experienced in the 2 types of camera 😳
Folks, the track is designed for rally cross for about 6 cars at a time. If you think 32 players will ever work around this tight circuit then you need to get your head out of the sand.

I had that same thought during the race. It was practically impossible to race clean, it was hard enough just getting round a lap.

Won't change the fact the track isn't suited for 32 people -- plus the last time Broughy had a slow vehicle start he got so much backlash in the comments :D
I wish the Itali Gto, Pariah, Itali GTX, Neo and Corsita could be used in Supers races, even if theyd be off pace overall, would be interesting to see how theyd perform in their tiers, as well as the Buffalo and Champion in muscles, and cars like the Taipan and SC1 in sport's

Too small of a map for 32 people hope we dont see this map in a random all any time soon... the problem is you can't call out anyone because the road surface is just unpredicable and getting a new car every lap makes it almost impossible to know how it will react over large bumps and bushes this map has

i'll be honest, this is not clear cut to me. Not exactly a rejoin given deeest never left the track, not exactly a bad recovery because they bumped the wall and was facing the right way again, not sure whether they tried to hug the left side and got shafted by lag or got flustered, drifted right and caused that chaos. basically if I saw that, I wouldn't bin because im not exactly sure what happened, and we don't bin if there's doubt
guess in hindsight brough should've called out but iirc he didn't have his keyboard synced with the gaming pc during this race
Not defending anyone's actions, but I will say the lag on this one, looked worse than it usually does.

he's stopped doing those dripfeed testing videos, testing for the latest SUVs will be part of the 2024 SUVs video, which won't be for a while

there was waiting, just not enough -- unsurprising given the nature of the track and the context of the stream

testing videos for the latest dripfeed cars will come in their respective 2024 Class videos, i.e the new SUVs won't be tested until the 2024 SUVs testing video comes out

Is it just me, or has the racecraft kinda gone downhill lately? Might just be some new drivers who can't handle all the Project Homecomeing specials I guess, but it seems really annoying...

@@DiNmiTe It actually makes a difference on what number of race it is? Interesting... I've never tried fiveM, so I really wouldn't know. Higher ping sounds reasonable though. It's just been a while since I've seen that many crashes.
@@MrHaggibear in a sense yea, gotta ease the lobby into playing with 31 other people of varying ping. Rallies for the most part are alone so you don't get to experience other people's lag bubble. so for the first proper "race" to be a random on this track, its not surprising chaos happened

@@DiNmiTeExactly. Ping is a big factor, I was in the 150-200 range when I joined a few races, honestly don't know how some people can handle it.
It's frustrating to see other drivers breaking the rules and not being penalized for it

the chaos is a consequence of a narrow rallycross track designed for 6 players, with different lines and terrain and driving cars with varying levels of grip and traction on the dirt, plus this being during a Saturday stream meaning more Asian players join with higher ping -- so no, no one has done enough to get banned

32 people on a multi-surface rally track thats meant for a handful of people in various cars, with natural ping and GTA 6 physics.

It was so difficult to drive clean. Track was far too small/short for that many cars.

@@DiNmiTe din, I know the memes about you doing everything for Brough but seriously he doesn’t, or at least not what goes up on YT. I’m one of the few people who likes to see Brough do well in races and when people take advantage of him being nice and not calling stuff out makes for poor viewer experience. The whole reason I started watching wasn’t due to FiveM content but the fact that y’all did clean GTA racing, and did wait for takeouts.
