The first four episodes, perhaps? They can almost convince you it's a magical girl show, not a science fantasy military/adventure show with magic theming. I mean, the first half of Season One is - you've got your animal mascot, your mcguffin trinkets, monsters of the week, the dark rival girl. Unless you paid quite close attention to the *very* beginning of the show (i.e, before the opening theme of episode 1) it seems to be a pretty ordinary magical girl show... ... and then the magical space police show up in their starship. And of course, we get acquainted with Rival Girl's mom. That was... pretty different. This fight, mind, is atypical of the season it's in. Vivid and Vivid Strike (Season 4 and 5) are kinda... well, they're basically one big Magical Girl MMA tournament arc. The previous two seasons (and the later half of the original series) are more... martial. StrikerS (Season 3) in particular is *much* more military, but A's (Season 2) is generally considered the best written. I'm... a bit of a fan, as you may be able to tell from the avatar.

As far as I can see she is the only one that is in the magical girl lyrical manga and in the vivid strike anime. What is the connection? And is there any other people that have a connection between the series?
@@Mari-zh5nq Vivio is introduced in Nanoha StrikerS and Nanoha does adopt her as a daughter. The connection between Vivid and Vivid Strike is basically that Vivid Strike a sequel. There's not any real difference in the world and lore, the only reason why Vivid Strike is considered a spin off is because the story is very disconnected to the main series and it focuses on a new MC.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Vivid is the original show. Vivid Strike is technically the spin off of Vivid and it takes place after it.
