Rage is my next favorite post-apocalyptic, open world action game after Fallout 3, 4 & NV. And in some ways: more fluid combat & vehicular combat, it bests the Fallout series.
How bizarre is the fact that Rage is prettier than a lot of games released in the actual generation? This game released to Xbox 360!!! ID Software made a miracle with the visuals of this game.
What do you mean by "actual generation" and this game still looks nice because it's stylized like Borderlands, the first game of that series still looks good and it was released like 3 years earlier than Rage.

This was made by John Carmack, yes the same person who invented the FPS genre. Some of the scenes look much better than border land. Borderland 3 for example is not a great looker. Sure it has good gameplay.
He also did the voice of Hound in Transformers Age of Extinction and The Last Knight, there was a movie I remember him being in with Denzel Washington called Fallen if I remember right.
The art style and atmosphere is fantastic. A few tweaks here and there like more random npc gangs in the open world wouldve really helped this game. I was obsessed with it at release - Bethesda should seriously consider a current gen update lol.
Played the hell out of this when it came out. It had its shortcomings but it was a lot of fun. The eventual sequel was enjoyable but it doesn't really have the same feel as this one. That desperate survival atmosphere.
This game was actually really good at least on PC. Amazing gunplay, and sound design. Missions were fun too. The boomerang was really fun too. Especially after fully upgraded.
The one thing that I still love this game for is the bloody awesome role plays I can do, some games just work for that, this is one of those that you get on and you go for sometimes hours at a time. Some games you get on and nothing or a few minutes, not this one. Even just watching some of this filled me with epic nostalgia of those days.
Carmack walked out as soon as Zenimax bought iD and handed the reigns to Rage development to Bethesda. I don't blame him. Doom III was the last true iD Software game. I'd have loved to have seen what Rage would have been like, had iD managed to finish it on their own, under their own direction, to Johns original vision and plan. I did enjoy it (mostly) but it was clearly not an iD Software game! The gunplay was good - thankyou iD Tech
This game has the best weapon variety I've ever seen in a game. Each does something different and has a bunch of different ammo types on top of that. So many ways to kill enemies.
The game is gorgeous!!!! The music is gorgeous, especially at the very beginning, I played it a long time ago and was left with an awesome impression!!!!

Oh crap, I totally forgot about this game and I remember buying it shortly after release, pretty cheap and hearing about people complain about pop up on ps3 but overall, I loved the game.
I had a 5770 and initially i couldnt play it. Whern i left the ark at the beginning of the game my screen turned blue and i couldnt see anything, only hear the game audio.
This game truely was a flawed gem. It could have been much more. They cut and scrapped so many potentialy great ideas, it s such a waste. Every little detail in this game shows they had ideas and ambition.

You'd need a 4K camera to take 4K photos then yes you can see that 4K photo with your 4K monitor... you using a 4K monitor doesn't make a 720P picture automatically 4K. That's like saying, if i put diesel in my petrol car then it's now a diesel..

I loved this game . Its pretty obvious it was rushed. once you hit subway town it goes fast. It was a test bed for the tech 5. Half the devs were probably already ass deep in Wolfenstein tno before this launched.

@@pilantra2000 the add-ons should be very cheap now. Unlocks a bunch of stuff and a few weapons. I play on the series S and I play this game once a year. I don't know what it is but I really enjoy it.
Great, underrated game! I remember the horrible texture pop in on PC. I also had a cheap power supply during my early days of PC building that exploded in my PC while playing this game. Dont buy gold plated power supply's guys! 😂😂😂

Много суетных движений,на дальние расстояния не используется снайперка . А игра на самом деле - крутая ( нет обязательного следования сценария, можно не хило прокачаться и в дальнейшем играть по своему усмотрению- по возможности).
