    a few more things that I noticed later
    everyone has an eject button on the score button
    also there is no overcapping and no exp for scoring goals (math will not be an issue there)

    It's chaotic, fast with no time to breath I kinda like it but I also hate that it'll be hard to be an actual team with everyone trying to get something somewhere on the map. I hope it's more of a mode then the entire game

    I really don't like how it doesn't end at 10 minutes anymore, my favorite part about Unite is how it ends way quicker than other MOBAs, I don't wanna feel super drained after like 2 games of ranked

      @@sechabatheletsane9784 idk... master rank and tournaments usually endup by them having just the first 2 bases destroyed, it is fairly rare to have a massacre as this new version needs it to be, specially for the fact that the inner you need to go into their ranks the harder it is to score, thats why pro players worry so much about over scoring

    This mode does not have the classic teamfights, some mons seem to be useless in this, farming is non-existent and snowballing seems so much easier. If this is a new additional mode sure, but if this replaces the normal game mode…i don’t know

    Honestly I would love having this as a different game mode while still keeping the one we currently have. The game dynamic is very different, even though one game is still roughly 10 minutes. I think double points from 10 minutes in ranked and 8 minutes in casual would be nice and lead to amazing comebacks. Let's keep an eye on this, thank you Cris for the videos!

    What I love about this is that it seems like they made a giant durability patch for most mons so you can’t get blown up that fast anymore. This what I want. A moba that doesn’t escalate in 2-3 minutes and you have to absolutely sweat the entire game for every objective and have a dedicated front line to score and back line to defend and no timer/objective that reward being brainless. As someone who plays a lot of other mobas I am very happy with these changes
    And the new death timers punish dumb players for overextending which is just huge for me

      @@lazyei9499 While I do think it’s gonna take time to get used to, I think it’s just gonna get better because now we don’t have the necessity for the entire team to move to one area at a specific time. And you can still defend against zapdos so it isn’t an insta game over because the entire enemy team also has to gather to push zapdos while at that time your team could also counter push if you’re ahead
      Btw I respect all you defender supporter mains out there as you’re the ones who actually balance out the three lane attackers 🙏

    I think I like what we have rn more it just sucks that sometimes games feel like a coin flip due to how Rayquaza works. What sucks even more is that Rayquaza was completely fine on release of Thea Sky Ruins and got a lot of positive feedback but then they nerfed it almost immediately?

      Ofc they nerfed, they want the game to be pure garbage (they did) so every kid with a phone or switch can get to masters and do 100k damage with the new overpriced mon.
      Thats why im surprised they changed the standard game, I hope we can get it in the west as permanent ranked mode.

    In all honesty the only problem we have with our current ranked mode is the final objective. As much as i loved this mode i don't see this as a better alternative aside from the fact that zapdos works like regileki so we can ko it.
    Also it is too chaotic for the average soloq players so there's a possibility We would only end up more frustrated then usual as there are a lot of more objectives and important one at that.
    Not to mention the best part of unite is it's 10 min games.
    Conclusion:- The freshly released theia sky ruins is our optimal solution to everything.

      I couldn't agree more! Theia Sky Ruins on release was Pokémon UNITE at its peak. Rayquaza is hard to take down, and even if one of the team secures it, the opposing team still has the ability to come back. The final objective was not an instant win.
      What we have now is better Zapdos. Bigger shield, faster scoring, bigger Atk buff from the shield makes it hard to defend.

      Yep, they could just change ray/zap to do the same thing as Zapdos in Chinese beta and it'll be better. Though, having a Chinese server might be better for the game as it may force unite to balance the game a bit sooner or later

      I feel like the opposite, this game mode seems to be suited for a more soloq experience given the fact you don't have to sweat at the big objective anymore you can just micro manage smaller objectives and even solo zapdos. But that's also a problem in my eyes, the game is deeply flawed rn but it does feel like teamwork is the key to winning games. I'd hate to have that gone from the game experience as much as it frustrates me to get lane cinders that camp at bush

    I really doubt this version will be ever global. Same thing happened to other games, where there were 2 completely different versions - international and Chinese - developed by different companies or different parts of same company. This realistically can be the case for Unite as well

    Hoopa would be amazing here for the constant help with objectives and healing. Also the game isn’t just 10 mins and may go on long so being able to potentially use a unite a lot will really help.

    This looks so sick I wanna play it. I wonder if this mode would be more skill than braindead last objective flip.
    Also, the weird Pokémon you saw in the enemy jungle was Magnemite, it is now on Theia Sjy Ruins holding a camera to film the match (It is holding the camera still in this mode)

      This definitely fixes that. Cause it eliminates you losing because your greninja decided to backcap when ray spawns.

      Get ready for everyone to give up as soon as you fall behind 200 points though.
      People still give up now with rayquaza in the game.
      I know people don't like the idea of getting coin flipped, but most of the time these days it's really a case of bad play over anyone legitimately stealing Ray and causing their team to win.
      Ray is a necessary evil because it stops people feeling like the game is done the second they fall behind at level 4 in lane.

    Wondering how they would balance something like a goal getter Sableye ( or no goal getter).
    I would just go around knocking of the points and scoring them trying to build up a lead and because everyone is more spread it would be easier to not get killed doing so

    i much prefer this style of game it makes a win feel like a win and a loss feel like a loss rather than a coin flip at the end of 80% of the games you play, plus it forces you to actually know your role and play the entire map

    I like the flow of this gamemode, just no breaks nonstop action, something to do. Fights and objectives. Looks like minimal farming needed.

    I honestly like this one better than the ones we have rn, I read the comment section a bit and found out that there are people who think these changes are bad because it's too snowball. Imo that's what makes the game more interesting to watch. The comeback would be way more entertaining and deserved and at the same time it reward the team that play well overall instead of the team who got lucky at stealing rayquaza. Some people gave the counterargument saying that if your rayquaza gets stolen it's on you, but the same can be said as well for this mode, if your team gets snowballed it's on you. And I'd rather get snowballed instead of being ahead the whole game only to end up losing because I lost a coin flip.

    I honestly don't like this idea, the best part was how the matches end in 10 minutes, if the matches are gonna last upto 20-25 minutes it's going to be extremely draining and the amount of time it will take to climb ranks will be very long. I hope that is just an additional gamemode and doesn't replace the main ranked matches

    I like the new death timer, the current death timer is too short. The enemy keeps coming back over and over and it's so hard to score unless we kill them all at the same time

    I like it, It's very different but not too different, still keeping a lot of the same concepts but just adding a lot more. It'll require more brain power which excites me and worries me at the same time, at least I won't have to rage about overcaps anymore

    I actually really like it. After watching a whole game my opinion really shifted. I thought there would be a lot of back capping but with so many objective mons constantly pushing lanes you're free to just brawl it out. I can only BEG that we get this.

    Im surprised no ones mentioning that this is likely not the base game, as its on the mini remoat map.
    Its likely a quick match game type as no one likes that map anymore, so more likely its a rework of that quick match map to make it more played.

    My initial thought about this new mode or beta gameplay is very interesting and surprising, it is not fairly a new formula for the MOBA genre but it is a new approach for the gameplay in Pokémon UNITE. This somewhat become more of a Classic or Traditional MOBA which feels like home for me, it is a race to destroy the base instead of having a limited time and which team has the highest points. I know it becomes a staple for UNITE but for everyone who loved or got used to the 10 mins gameplay of UNITE, I understand that you would dislike the beta gameplay if it gets added because it would be having a longer match than usual, and different set of strategies. It must be nostalgia speaking but believe me this would really test your SKILLS rather than relying on other factors such as Luck, OP Pokémon, few or limited strategies, and Comeback Mechanic.
    Yeah sure, this would make Pokémon UNITE like the generic type of MOBA like DotA 2 but this could address the balancing issues of the roster because of predetermined set of items and linear gameplay of UNITE. What I meant of Linear Gameplay is every match is a rinse and repeat game for every 2 min mark we have either Ray/Zapdos which becomes repetitive but it still is intense because of the timer.
    I'm hoping that we could get to build our held items during gameplay instead of having a pre-build. Man, I'm super excited to see this and this for me imo a mind-blowing direction for the game. (Yes this would be more difficult and really requires team cooperation)

    Concerned that snowballing is going to be more of an issue now with no double points or over capping and the addition of upgrades for each milestone of points youve turned in. So the team thats winning will just get stronger faster. While the only way to maybe comeback it seems is to defend at base, hope for a team kill and turn in as much as possible while enemy team dead

      It never had strategy. The only good argument I see people throwing is how at least unite had fast games. But strategy? When most of the time you either snowball hard a game to make enemy team surrender, or flip ray. There isn’t much strategy. Also why are u happy about keeping back capping when that tends to throw more games than help

    Honestly, compared to our version the Chinese seem to get a much more complete feeling game. There is much more room for tactical observation to turn the game back around. Especially the way the objectives work. Honestly, in western Unite you know the outcome of the game at certain points way ahead of the 10 min mark and it doesn't make much sense to continue playing because there is no chance to turn things around.
    I'd love for this to be experimentally available

    It’s gonna be like Pokémon quest, where China gets one version and the Americans get another; Pokémon Quest in America only has Gen 1 and final bosses being mew2, mew, and the trio birds. In Asia, they got later gens, Groudon, Kyogre, etc

    At 3:12 u see that the glaceon has 20 points to score but the goal is at 9 points, so the glaceon scored only 9 instead of 20. And we need more team cooperation in this version. That will be tough for solo players.

    They can really make this the updated battle mechanics if they want to. Tbh, this one seems fair since you're given a chance to deny the main objective that wins the game (zapdos, rayquaza) by killing it before it reaches your goalzone

    I think it's a nice addition if the goals won't be instantly defenseless after killing zapdos and instead will act like rotom/regieleki that moves forward to the enemy goalzones. It gives the opposing team a chance to deny zapdos and the ability to instantly score. I like this one bit

    I'm Chinese and have been playing Japanese solo queue since the launch of this game. The game has not been released in China yet, but we already have so much dejavu as the game looks so much like the other crazily popular moba “Honor of Kings” that Timi makes in China. Well, actually even in the global release the skillsets of a lot of pokemon have literally been copied and pasted from “Honor of Kings” in China. I have to say that this beta doesn't look as attractive as the global version. It is a bad idea to not have a timer for each match, especially if everyone (easily) goes overboard on getting more KOs rather than scoring points (and the game would drag on forever). And as the match enters late-game, there isn't much new mechanism to be added and you don't get stronger (because of level cap), and the game wouldn't be as fun as in the early- or mid-game. Oh, and one more thing, you can select which battle item to use, meaning you don't have to choose eject button (despite the fact that it is the most popular choice).

      @@levibest2409 The Chinese version seems to be a totally separate game app, so I'd assume you need to download a different app just like the public test server. The other regions like the EU, JP all work inside the same app that we're currently gaming in, where the server will group different players based on their geological locations.

    positive
    you can upgrade your skills
    you can roam around to your lobby but they should add in the setting if they want the new one or the old one becuz not all mobile is strong enough to handle this new feature
    nice mvp animation
    negative
    you can see each other scores this is bad for me becuz you will not think anymore if you just gonna wait to run out of time and win or you need to scrore more just to double sure if your gonna win
    no more timelimit ;(

    Needs sone tweaking but its a godsend! No more losing cause our Greninja went to backcap during Ray?! Games potentially ending under 7 minutes?! Rejoice! I also like that Zapdos isnt a braindead last hit and insta win. Instead you can fight it, which translates being able to fight its benefits. Its incredible. Just some tweaks here and there and itll be fantastic.

    A lot of people in comments have not played a traditional moba.
    This looks great. This is beta so there’s no meta. Most obj will have team fights similar to birds and Regis now.

    Must be another game mode. The timer goes up instead of goes down, indicates that the win condition is reaching 500 points first.
    But, it is normal that China version remains in China. We will see.

    It looks like the rotom in the top lane will spawn closer to your side if you lost bases but the opponent has theirs up, beginning of the video and 4:30

    I personally love the idea of a point cap and upgrades throughout the match from base but the random objective mobs just looking like normal wild mons is just odd. I hope we do get point cap at the very least tbh.

    I'm really still interested in upgrades, it may make some really good pokemon overpowered as hell since it's TIMI, hell, it may make Mewtwo more powerful. The good side is that the bad Pokemon like Tsareena can be good. Hopefully it's either sidegrades or just small updgrades.
    Also, I don't see people talking about the hud, the new hud looks really cool!

    Watch someone play delphox it was delphox at 5 with both moves already and unite at 7 I believe, 9 was when it got its first plus move and 12 for the second.

    This is so much better than the current unite. Which is tailored for 8 year olds who drool over their mom's phone instead of playing the game. Would love to see this in normal 5v5s. Closer to what a real MOBA is supposed to be

    For ranked I would want to be able to see the score, more team objectives, and for the final 2min objective I love the Zapdos idea, and it would be nice if ray only gave shields and only 20% increased scoring speed.

      The unite animation takes up too much of the screen which could be problematic. They need to make it so we can turn it off.

    If they want to make the game based on original MOBA, like endless battle, fast cooldown Ultimate without score, i'm not surprised. I mean, that is how Tencent work on MOBA game.
