Thank you so much for the direct info. Just a note, I got listening fatigue by the end of this video with the engine noise, seems you could maybe turn your voice up and the engine noise down a little bit. Or maybe it's just me. Judson you rock, and are a treasure to this sport!
You can tell non verbal stories, but it takes a lot of craftmanship and intention. My thoughts are be yourself, learn tools to better tell your story in your voice, and don't worry about doing what other people are doing let alone comparing. Some stuff isn't necessarily relatable to everyone. Ultimately, our greatest audience is other pilots, so the numbers aren't there, but those people watch, care, follow, and when you travel, you can make some instant friends. That being said, I was a story teller getting into it too. I found paramotors during a time of my life where everything went wrong and I lost hope in life, then I found paramotors that gave me a reason to keep pushing. I would talk about what happened to me, how I struggled, problems I had, anxieties I had about paramotoring on a super candid level.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It is amazing how much goes into a film and the viewer may not understand the work involved to achieve the final cut.
Excellent information. You have basically laid out the roadmap to creating successful video content. And still it is not easy to execute. I consider myself a paramotor pilot first, and sometimes I create a hobby-level video. I can affirm that viewers find the most value in the video (engage) if there is compelling story arc. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and perspective.
Great info Judson…I’ve been struggling a lot with audio myself..The Smoke v2 or v3 peaks out bad..I’m not worried about making $ on YT just better content.
Hey Judson! Perhaps you could try the Navcomm ANR (NC-2300) headset for PPG? I have it but I don't have any camera so I probably could get one and test it for you? This is basicly a noise canceling headset for PPG with a USB-C in and an AUX-in so maybe, maybe, you could connect your camera to that AUX and get the footage with voice over?
Appreciate this advice been building my channel and experimenting with production lately, think narration is so much part of it. Please come take a look
If or when I get into this sport I'd like to make videos for myself and friends/family. I have zero desire to make RUclips videos. My social anxiety won't let me lol.
You might consider developing a masterclass on action/adventure videos for one of the platforms like Udemy. I think you make more money and when people buy those courses they have lifetime access to it. Thanks for posting
Thanks for sharing your experience/knowledge. Perfect crash course! I’ve used some of those tricks in my last Bahamas adventure video, but I lack the talking part (I tend to patch with too much music) because I’m still working on my self-confidence on speaking in English in a video. I’m doing this only for fun but will continue to progress. Thanks again! 🤘🏻🪂🤘🏻
Thanks for the info! Sounds like you might be my instructor for the upcoming July 20th class.

Thanks Judson for taking the time to make this video, it will definitely change the way I think about my videos.
Good advice. I need to get over my dislike of hearing myself talk and fear of having nothing worthwhile to say.
You should make a video on editing and saturation.
