yeah lol, it should be the other way around. The backrooms is supposed to be liminal space, just because you see a hallway that looks like liminal space, it’s not the backrooms
There's negatives to all three "Backrooms Sites", from what I've heard. The Fandom Site is way too loose, which leads to a lot of bad writing with no filters. The Wikidot Site is more organized, but now the site is shifting away from quick, simple, spooky articles and more towards unnecessarily complex writing that feels out of place (plus I have some personal negative experiences with that one, but I'd rather leave those out of this). The Liminal Archives Site is a good balance between the two other sites, but it started as a sort of rebellion and, thus, has a bit of toxicity. I think all three are worth reading in their own right, but I like how you've taken some time to point out issues with the Fandom Site.
Can someone explain to me why there are like 3 different backroom websites and not one universially agreed website like scp? I find it really confusing to binge backroom videos from different creators, and then get confused because they give different info on levels i thought i already knew and it turns out they're using different sources.
What i kinda hate about the fandom is how easy it seens to escape Like compare the frontrooms entry on wikidot to the fandom One says how if there was an exit everyone would have taken by now while the other flat out says that there are multiple confirmed exits
Since everyone can edit everything, like every single good and original level is replaced with some sh** saying “THis level have an entity that made of infected poop and it kills you if you look at it and there is an entity that will do not have the same. The level made of frozen ice walls and very coold and there are horror sound effect playing hole time!”
in fandom wiki, creating levels is unrestricted, so people can just make any cringe levels and let it be there but it wont probably last longer than a week.
the big thing I dislike about the wikidot is because the level 6 or 7, the terror hotel, instead of the l horror of being alone, you have a fricking group of people living there, ruins the this level, a bunch of other examples are also there, they spread away from the horror of the backrooms to random stuff. Liminal archives is the best, then wikidot, then fandom.
Personally, I just find the idea of colonies and some of the entities made by people on the fandom fun. The only downside Is exactly what you mentioned here. Personally, I really enjoy the thought of Level 9223372036854775807 existing, so the idea of a "hidden gateway" to it from the End could make sense. Its a trap that disguises itself as the exit out of the backrooms, but it has a hidden entrance to THE REAL exit, which is basically just another trap, because you either go up on the "infinite" staircase, or fall down, and no one is sure what happens if you just fall. The level is surrounded by theories, and I just love that. But other then that finding the hidden gateway to Level 9223372036854775807 or staying in The End long enough to be teleported to a random level, there was never supposed to be anything. I am glad that I decided to take interest in the backrooms and fell in love with the Fandom Backrooms after most of it was cleared. When you look at the state of the Fandom wiki right now, it is a lot better then it used to be (great example being its state in this video and when you check The End's Wiki now).
Well the fandom is obviously going to have cringe and bad pages due to it is nature(being able to write with very low limits) but there are good levels and objects in my opinion
Wanna know my opinion? The 3 wiki´s have its advantages. Fandom: Partial completion of empty spaces Wikidot: Levels Liminal Archives: Details of levels

I hate both sites to be honest. The Backrooms as a concept was much more better with its simple, 3 Levels increasing in seriousness and severity leaving much to the interpretation to the READER. I know this has been regurgitated but the Fandom site is full of absolute immaturity and garbage proposals, while the Fandom outstretches and creates a lore which is genuinely not needed and fully describes monsters which removes anything scary, becoming a walmart SCP site which just so many stupid, unnecessary addons like colonies and 5 trillion levels or whatever the fuck. It's not needed, it removes the scare factor or subtlety in which the original had because it didn't reveal much. Of course that is because it was just starting out but it did what it did very well.
