- In München gibt es zur Zeit viel Schnee. Die Zoolandschaft ist verändert. Alles wirkt ruhiger und es ist auch ruhiger. Wenig Menschen sind im Zoo. Und auch bei den Tiere ist eher ruhige angesagt. Winter in Hellabrunn ist eine ganz besonderes Zeit.

There is a lot of snow in Munich at the moment. The zoo landscape has changed. Everything seems calmer and it is also calmer. Few people are in the zoo. And the animals are also rather quiet. Winter in Hellabrunn is a very special time.

Ja, der Schnee verändert alles... stimmungstechnisch... wobei man
unterscheiden muss: das Video ist wirklich herrlich und strahlt diese
einzigartige, romantische winterliche Atmosphäre aus... wenn man
aber selbst erstmal das Auto freischaufeln und dann durch den
Schnee an sein Ziel muss, sieht man das in dem Moment wieder anders...
Das ist immer das mit dem Winter, er hat zwei Seiten...

Ich fahre nicht Auto und so muss ich kein Auto freischaufeln :-) Aber ich kann Dich schon verstehen.
Die Nacht vor meinem Besuch hat es viel geschneit und da musste ich einfach in den Zoo. Ruhe, schöne Landschaft, zauberhafte Eindrücke und neugierig, wie Tiere mit dem Schnee umgehen, bringen mich dazu bei diesen Verhältnissen in den Zoo zu gehen.

Ja so ein Spaziergang im tiefsten Winter durch den Zoo ist sehr schön. Und bei solch´einem Wetter sind nicht viele Besucher im Zoo. Das ist die Zeit, wo der Zoo uns Stammbesuchern "gehört".

The elephants in Munich love snow and ice, literally. The keepers have to be careful that the animals don't eat too much snow and ice.
And the zebras don't really seem to mind the cold. They can choose whether they want to be in the stable or outside.

Ich finde es gut, dass die Tiere auch bei diesen Wetter mal raus gehen. Den ganzen Tag im Stall wäre doch öde. Zudem sind sie nicht lange draußen.

Es war eine traumhafte Stimmung im Zoo an diesem Tag. Heute ist der gesamte Schnee fast wieder weg.

It is snowing here in eastern North America too. The zebras might be wearing UPC number stripes so someone buys them to bring to a warmer climate. I wouldn't mind going along with them.
Bei diesen Temperaturen sind die Tiere auch draußen. Für kurze Zeit. So müssen sie nicht den ganzen Tag im Stall verbringen.
Übrigens, Zootiere werden nicht verkauft. Es gibt so genannte Zuchtbücher und es gibt eine Koordination, wo die Tiere leben. So ist es zumindest in Europa.

We really have a lot of snow in Munich at the moment. With such weather and not really many visitors in the zoo. That's why I love being there. The snow, the animals and this heavenly peace. Simply very beautiful and very relaxing.

Also diese exotisch anmutenden Tiere im Schnee, das sieht ja richtig klasse aus - zB die rosa Pelikane. Aber bei Schwimmflosslern frage ich mich immer: Haben die keine kalten Füße? - Nur vom Zusehen wird mir ja schon ganz kalt! LG
Die, wie Du sie nennst exotischen Tiere, sind bei den Temperaturen nicht all zu lange draußen. Aber besser , als den gesamten Tag im Stall.
Ich glaube, Schwimmflosser haben sehr gut durchblutende Füsse und frieren so nicht so schnell, wie wir Menschen.
