- There was a time in the late ‘90s and ‘00s when Dan Schneider was one of the biggest producers in the industry. With his work on “All That,” “Drake & Josh,” “iCarly,” “Victorious,” and more, Schneider was instrumental in launching the careers of numerous Nickelodeon stars.
But between his on-set tantrums, his angry emails to child actors, and his toe tweets, Schneider found himself on the wrong side of the #MeToo movement. I’m just not going to defend the guy. Once I listened to Jeannette McCurdy’s new book (which is a must read along with a harrowing story of her struggling with abuse by her late mom), I’m glad she stepped up and speaking out about the damning allegations against the Nickelodeon creep who used to create one of my childhood favorites like All That, Kenan and Kel, The Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, and I, Carly. But now these days are long gone. Jeannette should sue Nickelodeon and Paramount Global for negligence and Dan Schneider needs to be jail.

I get why everyone blames Dan Schneider for a lot of things but the real villain is Viacom for hiring him, firing him, and then re-hiring him because the shows and the network was losing ratings. This is why I say Viacom is the devil

Is it me or Nickelodeon went absolutely downhill once Dan Schneider got in trouble cause of his allegations? He made great shows during our childhood, I can named them all but after the allegations got leaked he was completely got shelled by Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon now relies on SpongeBob which is really bad, the network is on a downward spiral.

I guess that's a matter of opinion I always found his shows to be boring copy/pasted sitcoms with annoying laugh track to boot. Idk his shows always just seemed like filler crap that was supposed to kill time until SpongeBob came on. I preferred to watch Samurai Jack or Dexter's lab on Cartoon Network then switch back for SpongeBob but the reality shows/sitcoms on Nick were SOOOOOOO bad. I still don’t understand how and why they allow single men to be in these positions. Like, what about fat guy working around teenage girls where their relationship consists entirely of him telling her _what to say, where to go, and what to do with her body_ from a position of authority isn’t a red flag? Kids (especially teenagers) are difficult to be around bc kids are annoying as hell and exhausting. Anyone who _wants_ to work with kids and never tries to move up from there is shifty as hell, there are no professional or experiential rewards to working with teenagers in tv. You’d want to use that as a launching point and work your way up into something bigger, not just stay there and hug on all the female stars incessantly

One of the shows I consistently watched when I was younger, was Head Of The Class. Dan Schneider was part of the on screen talent. The show was about young people with a high IQ, that have their own classroom. It maybe, kinda sorta was the The Big Bang Theory of it's time. Once I found out that Dan Schneider has "issues" (don't believe me, ask Jennette McCurdy), Head Of The Class was ruined for me.
I thought the allegations against Schneider were ironic considering his character on Head of the Class was inclined towards the feminist viewpoint.
