Some of the Malaysian blue collar workers currently working in Singapore earning Singapore dollar may have to work in Johor once the Singapore companies relocate to Johor, and earn Ringgit instead. Meanwhile the RTS will mean more talented white collar workers in Malaysia working in Singapore.
Everything about Johor is fantastic. She can really compliment Singapore in economic growth. The only problem is Malaysian politics. Rules and regulations changed like underwear. Today A made a law, tomorrow B got elected and A's law is discarded. Today we want foreigners and FDI, tomorrow too many foreigners are causing prices to rise. All perks and offerings will be suspended or stopped. If foreigners took the bait earlier, it's your problem to resolve if you are caught in no man's land. Today foreigners can only buy properties above 500K, tomorrow will be 1M, and next day, 1.5M. It just silly for foreigners to trust in a govt who keeps shifting the goalposts and caused others' planning to do down the drains every few years, at the whim and fancy of a few incompetent ministers.
too much hype and motherhood statements, what are the policies and the incentives to businesses and general populace, is there subsidy in setting up green technologies? any rebates, etc..to general public, any discounts for general public to buy forest city, etc? too much hype with no substances....
Still tooooooooo slow with the completion of RTS. By today's technology standard, it should have been finished and in usage today. Will not serve its purpose because the millennium is about to begin.
