I don’t think Lilly competed in YAGP. Elli competed and got a hope award but there’s nothing on RUclips or on Lilly’s IG anywhere that says she went to YAGP much less won a Hope award. I could be wrong tho

@@leena75 that's the point tho?? Abby gave her zero parts to show that she was the lead. She gave 99% of the "lead" parts to Brady and Lily, and gave Gia like two parts in the last 30 seconds of the dance. When you have a lead dancer they are supposed to be given choreography that helps them stand out. That's the whole point.

Sarah's ballet is so good! Studio 19 trained her well, and she deserves more credit for how well trained and versatile she is. She is only right behind Brady & lily with her ballet technique! Just not as flexible. She stood out in this dance, especially her technique.
@@damian2972 What technical errors? Also, what she said had nothing to do with her technique and dancing. And I don’t necessarily think she was being disrespectful. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Chloe from the original team was fantastic at lyrical and musical theatre, but her acro was not up to par with the rest of the group. That’s just telling the truth. Dancers always have something to work towards and weaknesses, no one is perfect
She only trained at studio 19 for 1 year so I feel like another studio gave her that but yess I agree she is talented

Take Chloe for example, she regressed throughout Dance Moms and season 4 was her worst season, then she spent a year at Studio 19 and her dancing had improved tremendously. They fixed a lot of her technical errors and helped her with acro skills

The fact they don’t have ballet shoes on for the literal only ballet dance on dance moms killed me. Anyone else?

Some people might not agree with my opinion but Gianina wasn't leading as much in this group dance. Abby picked the wrong person as lead. Lily should had been the lead in this dance.

Most of them have good ballet technique cus they are skilled in acro gia has star quality tho but her ballet technique isn’t quite there with lily and brady
Sarah’s ballet is so good! Considering she’s a more of an acrobatic dancer. I think she rlly pulled this one off! She was up there with Lilliana and Brady! Amazing dance, love watching it❤
Because obviously Lilliana and Brady are more ballet dancers then the rest of the group. And Sarah hasn’t had as much intense ballet training like Lilliana and Brady. I think she was rlly goood in this!

I think Sarah should’ve been the lead. I love Gia but her ballet isn’t up to par with Brady, Lilly, or Sarah. Lilly has better technique than Sarah, but she doesn’t have the presence to carry that character. Just my opinion, don’t try and kill me if you disagree!
Now when I think of it, youre right. Gia was portraying an evil character in this one, and though we know Lilly can do dark roles, Sarah would definitely KILL it as the bad guy. And I do agree that Sarah's ballet technique is only behind Lilly and Brady in this. Gia would probably be next with Pressley right after, but that's just my opinion
tbh I forgot Gia was supposed to be the "villain" in this dance lol. Lily is incredible at doing darker roles and characters but Sarah is really amazing at them too. She would 100% bring the energy. It would've been neat to see her as the lead, now I'm kinda bummed she wasn't lol

I do agree actually. However, they shouldn’t have blamed Gia for the group not winning. She didn’t make any mistakes, and just because she dead considered “the lead” doesn’t mean she was consistently featured. They basically blamed a background dancer. 😒
@@izzyj2023 I mean I agree with you that Gia shouldn't have been blamed but if I'm being honest her ballet technique needs work cause I did see in the dance she wasn't holding her balance very well and I think she just needs more technique classes in ballet to help cause it did kind of show her weakness in this dance

@@3232poppy exactly. Lilly wasn't perfect and neither were any of the other dancers. (but ballet is extremely hard to perfect, especially at their ages and with them not focusing much on ballet)
i agree. I think she blended well with the others but everyone on the show was saying that her technique wasn't good
i feel like this dance was quite messy. in my opinion it would have been a great trio with brady, lilliana and sarah

Brady was probably at the back because of the formation Abby and Gia made them dance in (because he's tall and would've blocked a whole dancer). And Sarah is definitely underrated! Her ballet is only behind Brady and Lilly imo

Brady and Lilly were amazing! I like Gia but she shouldn’t have been the lead for this dance. Ballet is not her forte
It doesn't even look as if she had any solo. I feel it looked like Lilly and Brady were the leads and abby just didn't want to make her precious pupil look like the fall guy for the group failing. Gianina seems like she is always painted as the villan of the group because of how opinionated she is.

@@ariana4807 yeah and she seems to be so excited to no Elli wasn't coming back. I feel they are making the other dancer subpar to make Lilly stand out more like she did to Maddie. For a person who says she doesn't want another Maddie she is sure treating like Maddie. So Abby be ready for her to eventually not need you either. Not trying to throw shade at Maddie. I totally understand why Maddie turned on Abby.
I have to give Gia credit for doing her best *because* ballet isn't her strong suit, but you're right. It's stupid to give someone a leading role in a style they aren't comfortable with. Gia isn't BAD, but she's lacking in technique and training that others like Brady and Lily clearly have, and it made her look like a weaker dancer in comparison when she had her own little moments in the end. I felt for her tbh
@@lindahannah3965 I don't think Abby's intentionally making Lily stand out. Lily is one of the best dancers on the team, right next to Brady, so she's going to stand out no matter what she's doing. In this particular dance she was given plenty of choreography that worked in her favor but she's skilled at ballet, so it makes sense for her to have the more challenging parts instead of Gia, who struggles w/ ballet. Lily should've just been the lead but someone (the producers, probably) had other plans I guess.
Definelly Gianina and Hannah are the weakers in ballet Pressley was okay Sarah yeah she got it a really good well rounded Dancer and Brady and Lilly are outstanding in Ballet

This placed third because there were a couple of timing issues. Also why did abby add in the move at 1:53? Hannah abs Gia aren’t flexible as Lilly (I jean who is?) but it makes the group look bad

I feel Sarah would have been a better villian although that might have pushed her mom over the edge given everything going on. I caught myself drawn to her Lilly and Brady. I only got drawn to Gia when she was struggling. I think it was partly the pressure really go to her. Given everyone kept telling her she wasn't strong in ballet, I can't blame her for being in her own head about it
But I really think Sarah could pull off the villian acting even with it being ballet. It seemed like Gia struggled to keep up the acting while doing the ballet.
agreed! although Lilly plays dark roles really well too, Sarah would've slayed as the villain here. Her faces when she and Elliana danced off for the duet with Gia were so good and convinced me she could definitely play these dark roles. Her technique was only behind Lilly and Brady, she would've done a good job

I think it’s funny that people are saying “GiaNina and Brady have no chemistry together” when they danced together for like a solid 2.5 seconds
Gia literally had one part at the ending .. how was she the lead.? They fussed and made this whole big argument .. when in reality Brady and Lilly were the leads

Gianina during the long arabesque (?), her supporting foot shook back and forth so much it looked like she might fall, the next move saved her.
it's an arabesque into a penche, then come back up :) also yeah, gianina was wobbling a bit on it. she didn't have a good start into the arabesque, which messed up the whole move.

did you guys just not watch the second half of the dance? the storyline seems to be like brady’s bird was choosing to be with lily’s bird but gia got her friends to help draw attention to herself and catch his eye, so by the end he chooses her. gia was definitely a lead.
Lily is the best and stood out the most because she’s wearing white and is tiny + she is a ballerina 🩰.
Honestly my eyes were drawn to Sarah all of the time.

Hannah is so much better than she’s given credit for. She seems to be like Nia and JoJo. She’s very talented but she’s a “back row” dancer because she’s not Lilly or Brady or Gia. Kinda like how Maddie, Kalani, and Kendall we’re front row people all the time
Ik everyone thinks Brady is so amazing technically which he is, but they’re making him seem so much better than Lily, personally though I think Lily shined the most in this group dance and is it is the best dancer on this team technically. Don’t attack me😅

Technically lily was the lead. She was in the front and got the most solo parts. The reason gianina had the ”lead” was so abby could see her ballet technique. You can't depend on just brady and lily for ballet. You need to give it to other people so they can improve. (teamwork was the theme)

Ok here’s what I think:
1. If I hadn’t seen the episode, I would’ve never known that GiaNina was the lead, except maybe for the ending. Lilly and Brady stood out the most with their white costumes compared to the colorful ones, and they were featured in most of the dance and had a lot of partner work.
2. I thought Gia slayed this dance. As the “lead” she blended in more than stood out, but that wasn’t her fault. I made a point to watch her, and she didn’t make any noticeable mistakes or anything like that.
3. Gia should not have been blamed for the group dance not winning. Like I said before, she was supposed to be the “lead” but she wasn’t featured until the end, and she didn’t make any mistakes and her technique was pretty good. In fact, all of the kids had pretty good technique in this dance. But you can’t blame “the lead” for the dance not winning if you hardly feature them and they didn’t even make any mistakes.
