I received this 2 days ago. I absolutely love it! It is as you described and this is not a safe blind buy. But this smells like money to me. You perfectly described what this fragrance smells like. It's got great performance and sillage! Downside is I absolutely hate the sprayer haha. I'm a woman btw and this leans a little masculine but I know ladies who loves masculine leaning fragrance would love this. Thank you for your review!
Glad you enjoy Bros! And glad I painted a good picture of what this fragrances is like, that is my goal ultimately with these videos. Appreciate the comment!
I believe someone mentioned this fragrance below but Bentley for Men Intense turned my stomach at first. Twice I sprayed it on my wrist and had to immediately wash it off, there was a note that intensely disagreed with me. I decided to give it a normal spray on neck and chest and absolutely loved it. Don't know why the wrist was different, but I'm not going to argue! I just bought Blend of Lattafa from one of your previous video recommendations and it's wonderful. I can't believe it cost so little for such a great scent. I love Lattafa!
Watched this after seeing your recent hidden gems review as rose frags are what I’m after! My current favourites are Toy Boy, Lyric Man and Les Sables Roses plus I’ve got a few other middle eastern rose base scents. Really has peaked my interest in this too. Would like to see more rose base scents for the spring/summer profiled by you.
One fragrance I bought that really had to grow on me? Bentley for Men Intense. It was the furthest thing from love at first sniff. I was definitely imagining something else in my mind with what all the reviewers were hyping it up to be. If I could've sampled it in the wild? I never would have bought it.
I was the same with that one too. Was expecting something different. It has grown on me though, really enjoy it now, but need to be in the mood for it. Not a dumb reach for me at all
@@PostCologne agreed. Once I really began to like it, it became more situational in addition to seasonal. It's definitely not in the front of my lineup to just grab and go.
I don't know if I've ever changed my opinion on a fragrance that I didn't like initially- My issue is exactly the opposite. Some fragrances I really like at the onset, but eventually some note or quality in it ends up annoying me and I have a nearly full bottle that will never get used again. Fragrances that I don't like initially get a second wearing just to be sure, then I never pick them up again. I'm just not interested in something that I have to 'get used to'- because the people around me won't have that luxury. I'd hate to walk through a crowd of strangers/coworkers and have all of them think I smelled like cat piss on a cadaver- they aren't going to smell it long enough to understand the scent, lol. And quite honestly, neither am I. I wear fragrances for ME, but I'm also considerate of the folks around that aren't me. Again, love the content! Appreciate the work you are putting in :)
Yeah I try to do 3 wearings before I write something off entirely. And you're right about being considerate with others, so I don't go crazy on the sprays, or just wear it on days I know I won't be out much or at all. Appreciate the comment Michael! Thanks for watching!
You don't wear fragrances for you otherwise you would give it more than two wears and wouldn't care what people thought I didn't like oud for glory until the 5 th wear now it's my number 1 I love it it's a fragrance I will have 2 bottles in my collection
Hey PC. I never heard of this either. You have piqued my interest. I figure if I dont like it, my wife might. My challenging scent was the Encre Noire line. Hated them at first then, I grew to appreciate them. Thanks for the video.
It was a random find, glad I pulled the trigger on this one. I can see the encre noire being tough at first for some. I loved them right away, but can see why some may be turned off right away :)
It definitely has a slightly older feminine quality to it, like not old lady, but closer to mother than maiden. I don't recommend for teenage girls or 20 year olds. It has this almost mature, "I know what I'm doing and that's why I can break some rules" vibe in a sense? Not sure how to describe it.
I watched a review on this from the UK fragrance blogger and he was sooo excited about this frag. He said that this one actually is very similar to Side Effect by Initio. He also said he is a big fan of Side Effect. Well, just a side note ))
I wasn't excited not because it's a bad fragrance, just a challenging one for me personally. I can see how others would love this one if they are into that style of fragrance for sure. Took some time for me to come around to it
@@PostCologne well, sometimes it just takes time) I had it happened to me, when I almost hated perfume but then would suddenly fall in love with it. Ha-ha))
I do not have any idea why *certain people* keep comparing this thing to Side Effect. This is NOTHING at all like Side Effect, not even remotely. Do, does this person actually inhale 20 cigars a day or something? Like it's so not even close it's ridiculous. As per me and my skin, I think that it's really easy to listen to certain reviewers and hear like one or two guys' opinions and be turned off immediately by a scent (24 Hour Oud being quite literally the worst F'ing thing I ever smelled in my life, it's up there with fresh vomit, roadkill, cadavers, sewage, in fact it smells exactly what I imagine pruno made in a non-flushed jail toilet smells like) whereas certain other people will say meh on a cologne I absolutely adore (Aaron Hughes didn't like Man in Black, which is quite literally what I'm spraying on my wrist just for me to smell it throughout the day because it immediately brings a smile to my face, it was a blind buy and to this day my absolute favourite best smelling cologne). Well anyway I'm rambling but the point is you should really listen to PC's "challenging" commentary the most for the best possible appreciation of this fragrance, which on my skin sadly smells like cat piss almost, at least during the first hour's drydown. It's a really weird one and like OP has said, is actually pretty interesting from the artistic perspective particularly when you take note of the fact it's cheap and yet doing things you legitimately expect only a $120 a bottle cologne to actually do with its composition. "Eclectic" is how I could best describe this dance. Ooooo it's actually down to the point of being really oudy and woody on my skin now, so it actually smells good again, which it does straight from the bottle. It also smells pretty ok to decent on my clothes, it's just you should know and be warned of this: that damn synthetic saffron smell. I'm pretty sure that's what's doing the cat piss thing on my hand, and much lesser extent clothes (I'm beginning to suspect my dry skin just immediately absorbs some really important notes from the composition because this isn't the first time I sprayed myself and thought this smells like s*&$ and couldn't for life of me understand why anyone would wear this, let alone anybody pay $385/bottle like most notably Oud for Greatness that smelt so terrible and different I didn't even think to spray my clothes, which is where it smelt nice, ironically making the $40/bottle Oud for Glory from Lattafa much better for me because it weirdly smells great on my skin from the start). Bottom line is, always remember how much different is your body chemistry, and try to find a bunch of reviewers. Challenging is indeed the best way to describe that and I would definitely not overspray it. Oh man it really smells nice now. It takes such a weird and interesting meandering path, God it's like that one relationship (or all of them) that'd best be described as "stormy". Or "rocky" "melodramatic" "f'ing crazy m8" that's got high highs and low lows but nothing really boring. I can't even call the later on drydown boring, even that woody rosy almost vaguely lingering spicy/saffron is a very interesting smell. I do think it's unisex but possibly leaning into the feminine. Could be an interesting girl's night out I suppose. Not sure where I'd recommend a guy wearing it, but you'll definitely get focus. Maybe a business owner out about his day? Not sure. t. my experience
