The images of the youth killed by TB/pneumonia are absolutely horrible as well as haunting.
Hideous pain, misery and anguish on the snarling head with barred teeth is engraved for all of history.
RIP poor young man.

Actually it wasn't really to find the north west passage it was to research magnetic north.
