On the power of listening without interrupting or advice giving

How well do you listen? Do you wonder why people you love don't feel heard or they simply stop confiding in you? How often do you jump in unsolicited to offer advice or to share your own stories (make it about you)?
In our Contemplative Enneagram practice groups, we have an important ground rule. We don't interrupt one another or offer unsolicited advice.
Evolving Enneagram Founder Rev. Nhien explains here why this can support each person in accessing their own inner wisdom. Many in our CPE groups have shared that because of participating in our groups they now listen better OUTSIDE the groups!
