My TV speakers are shot can I install a soundbar and just use that?

Probably yes, how it would be connected would depend on the soundbar and TV you have.

Yes, but verify the audio output of the TV will work with the type of audio input on the soundbar you purchase. Typically manufacturers of both TVs and soundbars commonly use optical audio for output from the TV and input on the soundbar. Higher end soundbars may use an HDMI eARC input, but will also have an optical input to ensure compatibility.

The AC/DC box for the sound bar, I don't believe it's weather proof. Do you need to protect it?

Per Samsung I do not have 100% verification if it is or not. We always install partial sun TV's out of the sun, and in a covered area. This would prevent rain and moisture from getting to the box. Per samsung the failure rate of the SB power supply is very low.

My 55 inch terrace does not have screw holes on the back for the soundbar bracket

This should take you to the manual for the soundbar.

There are existing screw holes on the TV at the bottom, for the samsung soundbar brackets. The brackets come with the samsung soundbar.

Did you ever figure it out, mine doesn’t either. I think you are supposed to replace the factory ones

@davidbrown6806 yeah I'm pretty sure the holes the bracket uses comes from the factory with bolts already in it. I just unscrewed those then used them to attach the bracket if I'm not mistaken
