Today I will be sharing my FAVORITE scent to wear here in Socal. This is Byredo Bal D'Afrique. I will also be addressing the good and (percieved) bad feedback about this gem to you guys as well as mention why this is my go to for this season. Enjoy!
I just received my bottle and I got to say this perfume is stunning! Compliments are nice but wearing a fragrance you enjoy and love means alot more....
From Byredo's website "A warm and romantic vetiver inspired by Paris in the late 20's and its infatuation with African culture, art, music and dance. A mix of Parisian avantgardism and African culture shaped a unique and vibrant expression. The intense life, the excess and euphoria is illustrated by Bal d'Afrique's neroli, African marigold and Moroccan cedarwood." I have Dua's expression Paris 1920. I definitely want to try the original.
Its performance is pretty good for me. It took me a year to Paul the trigger on a full bottle purchase of Bal d'Afrique because, although it is unisex, it DOES lean just a little bit feminine. In the end I thought the scent profile was just too good to pass up.
Enjoying your reviews and seeing your channel grow. Keep up the great work. You are very prolific with content.
Thanks David!
If i'm spending that much money on a cologne, you best believe im going to be desperate for some compliments
3:59 Exactly why I need it
It smell really good once it settles.
You never been to Africa but you said, it doesn't smell like Africa to you. Not understanding that. Reminds me of Durban.
Lonnie Jackson lmao it just means my brain associations to Africa, doesn’t register lol
And Durban looks nice!
Lmao, good point! Bal d'Afrique means African Ball. It may be relating to a ball that the perfumer attended while there.
@@ntwalipat2 haha that would be a possibility
@@ntwalipat2 I'm a year late but I believe believe it was inspired by 1920s African culture in France
Does your atomizer spray a crazy amount? 1 spray I had a puddle on my skin 😆
🤣🤣🤣
Great review, tnx!
If I regret buying any cologne it would be this one. It doesn’t pop and is very much a skin scent.
I’ll be talking about the clones soon!
@@TroyD247Mall ooh I don’t mean clone I meant cologne as in perfume. This one in particular. It doesn’t do anything for me. Would have rather got something else.
@@Craziecat70 💯
What perfumes that are worth buying ? Especially feminine ones
@@Ahmedalsaeed1992 there’s a lot. Jus depends what u want. Do u have a particular brand in mind?
