At 2:13 Pete has got to be referring to Siouxsie Sioux, not only with the line "as she dips and wails, and slips her banshee smile...", but also with his swinging a chain in a circular motion above his head - just like Sioux does, but with her hand.
Thanks for uploading, I haven't seen this since it was first shown...strangely the 'problem' was similar to their performance of Ziggy' on OGWT that 'fell apart at the end'....when they played 'Nick on TOTP they mimed to a 'recorded on the day' take & it was very flat sounding ....I think after releasing 'Ziggy Stardust' to break into the charts, they were now 'A cult band' that were expected to sell records ...this resulted in 2 more singles & 1lp......
What happened there, then? Drums slipped totally out of sync with the loop. Murphy seems to have a bit of a nasty temperament. I'd never seen that side of him before.
I wonder the same things. Peter seemed pissed off and the drums went totally out on Lagartija... Anyway this remain a great video testimony from the past
@@mustlovedogs35 Yeah I can. I can also take issue with him being a perfectionist. Why would a "perfectionist" decide a few songs in to their set to rip down a rig and thereby shutting down the show until it can get moved? Shouldn't he have made sure it was set correctly beforehand? Also, perfectionism isn't an excuse to break shit that doesn't belong you. And given other shows I've seen, no he isn't much of a perfectionist. He's done some really lousy performances. (Not to mention, no "perfectionist" would have allowed Go Away White to be released.) Look, we all love Peter Murphy, but let's face it, he is a bit of a dick.

Oh my DARK SORCERER how I picture you during my Feb-orite month ( and season ) all "decked out" in black treading through "snow covered fields", looking like some sort of reincarnated COUNT from a "distant period in time".... So fucking PHYSICALLY STRIKING you should've been named "Perfect Murphy" instead..
At 5:05 David J says "don't be an arsehole" into the mike, I wonder if it was aimed at his brother who seemed to be having a bit of a nightmare on drums.
I actually think it's the drummer Kevin H that says ".(don't)call me an arsehole" - as I can't remember this segue being used on the rather grim October uk tour . it would seem possible that Murphy decided late on to fit in 2 songs ( partly to hide the weakness of the single) . It's very unusual to cut from a fast track to a slower one (it's easier to speed up) & David J & Daniel look uneasy from the start ....but it seemed Peter looked on them as his 'backing band' & put up with it ....but not for much longer .

@mad heiress Can you elaborate?
they performed also Antonin Artaud!
Running the credits over the top of Antonin Artaud is like scribbling on the Mona Lisa.
Pure Excellence . Still relevant and powerful
Much better seeing them rather than just listening
Wow, I've never seen this before! It's awesome hearing Antonin Artaud live! Thanks for posting!!
Gods!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That scream Peter did😂
'NOW!!'
Certainly more exciting than the usual 'Oxford roadshow stuff' (Thomson Twins or Duran Duran miming)

Brilliant
Joyous!!
not seen this before so thanks for this video
You could loan me the video if you don't want to sell it and I could send it back with a dvd copy ;)
Best Live - Band on Earth !! Thank's so much for uploading!!
Un recopilatorio de este grupo es para meditar.
For any others, you can hear either drummer or guitarist shouting " don't be an arsehole.

@@Dave_7720 I saw him on a solo tour once rip a lighting rig down because he seemingly didn't like where it was pointed.
The delay on the drums seems to have been incorrectly set... I think.
@@frequencydecline5250 That's because as an artist, he's a perfectionist! Can't fault him for that.

It’s “Lagartija” with an R.

The second track, Kevin Haskins is out Of Tune
The theater and its double. The void and the aborted!!!!!!
