Mikey, have you ever thought of making a Displate page? I’d certainly buy this Malenia, Blade of Miquella as a metal poster!
Hey MikeyMegaMega, been a long time fan, I wanted to ask if you have considered drawing on a light table for your tutorial vids? it might make the lines come out a lot more and be easier to see i think.
Just a thought o.o
But I'm left handed 😩😩
Same geeZ
Same
Same...
Lol
Same
I'm a lefty, and as soon as I saw this design, I was both immediately thrilled and disappointed. It's a great design that allows you to put the keyboard aside, and keep the workspace as free as possible while doing art. However, for me, it would be nearly completely unusable lol. Great review as always, Mikey!
My thoughts exactly
I was just about to say. Hopefully there is a left hand version otherwise this is basically useless to me.
I’m a tarnished, and As soon as i saw this I was horrified
Its our everyday life and why so many left handed comment
@@iconoclastpleonast8726 I'm a lefty and I don't write with a "hooked hand". I hold my implement the same as righties only push instead of pull. As for drawing.......huh? You place lines anywhere and put your hand anyway you need to to place those lines.
Can you switch the keyboard part to the other side for left handed people?
No sadly Larry! - its solid state. maby one day we'll have a keypad section that slots down the side like a switch controller!
I'm left handed tho?
Train your brain for right now.
I was just thinking "isn't this hard for left handed people to use?" Sister is left handed so I always think about things like this too
Well, if this doesn't have ambidextrous support, then i can't use it.
Unless they have a LEFTY version (which tbh is stupid from a Businesspoint as having it designed to be ambi would easily save costs of having to have TWO different Production Lines
Sadly us lefties have to suffer by paying more for things like that.
They can make the keyboard half of it detach and attach to the other side using a USB c connector it would be simple to do that way it could be a lefty or a righty these companies just don't think about that because I guess what 80% of the world is right handed?
Indeed. We Lefties cant use it very well: (
you cant really make this into a lefty thing either way because it uses the left side of the keyboard which is strictly for the left hand.
@@SilvaShadow1990 then just draw like a normal person
A keyboard with a 9 inch drawing tablet in the center would be great for me. Whhhy have they not done this?
IKR!!
That would also solve the problem for left-handed people
Buy tablet of choice, buy split keyboard, profit?
Dont watch shark tank but i have a idea all of a sudden🤣😅
There are split keyboards you can buy to emulate something like this, with being able to change where everything sits for best comfort as an upside. Obviously you'll have to provide your own tablet :p
Great for righties not so great for us lefties it looks cool though lol ah I'm surprised so many left-handed people watch your videos.
If I flip it upside down and get really used to the awkward new mapping for buttons it would be great 😂 I do love that Malenia artwork it's nice:)
Lefty says hello! Mouse on the left, Keyboard on the right, drawing tablet in the middle :)
@@SilvaShadow1990 but the particular device is not a mouse on the left keyboard on the right tablet in the middle lol but i do you understand what you're saying ^_^
I'm pretty sure the company will definitely have made a left handed version. Mikey just didn't mention it in the video
mikeymegamega proceeds to summon every left handed artist to this video
And now I wait untill you are able to draw the legend let me solo her
Can we see more smol chest love? I’m all for super busty girls but canonically Melania is much flatter and more muscular. Still beautiful work as always just makes me sad that people just add a large chest to every character when our small and medium ladies are also beautiful.
It depends on the artist, some like small some like medium or big,
@@ntz752 true, I just appreciate love for physiques of all kinds.
Really short sighted of them to not have a left-handed version or have a way to detach the keyboard part and move it over.
Especially when you consider that stereotypically a lot of left-handed people are artists, you'd think making this ambidexterous would've been top priority.
They should make it click into either side like a switch controller
There's no clear evidence that left handed people are more creative or more artsy, there is evidence though that left handed people *think* they are. But yes, all designs should be ambidextrous
@@asdfffs “stereotypically”
$118 dollars on Amazon right now, I feel like this is a fantastic starter tablet for your young artist. I use literally just that section of the keyboard when I use my drawing monitor. You don't need much more than this to get started!
Man im literally crying when looking at your videos. The skills and the ability to draw you have is insane. By just looking at your videos is giving me an inspiration to go further. My friends told me that after 3 months of drawing i didnt improved that much and maybe its just not for me but i belive that with enough power you can get to the point. And your videos are helping me both in getting better and in going forward so thank you.
When people tell me things like "You haven't improved that much" or "don't worry, you'll find your own style one day" it actually encourages me to get better to spite them lol. Use that energy to improve, and be sure to use lots of reference! That always helps loads.
3 months isn't too much time, patience is handy with learning skills.
Those are some honest friend you got there
@@TsunaXZ i call that toxicity but i guess we have different pov of what a friend is, especially considering (as i understand) that he started drawing 3 months ago (when posting)
Those friends sound very honest but what matters more is if YOU see improvement in your work, it's good that your friends aren't bullshitting you but at the same time they might not be able to see what progress has been made in their own eyes, they aren't paying as much attention.
Cries in left handed
I hope they made detachable keyboard which could attach on both side in next version. Most left handed artist including me have no use if it is on left since we will be hold pen on left and hand on right for keyboard.
Love your Stuff I also put your stuff on while I’m drawing . I’m curious what are Your Thoughts on Tetsuya Nomuras charecter designs he’s one of The character designers writers and Producers of The Final Fantasy Series and we’ll as creator of Final Fantasy Spinoff Kingdom Hearts . He’s my favorite director and Character designer in video games from Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy VII Remake being my favorites of his it’s a shame we won’t get versus XIII As was intended but Kingdom hearts has it covered with Verum Rex I suppose .
Even though I’m not gonna replace my tablet any time soon, your reviews are always very entertaining to watch!
What tablet do you use
It's hard to live as a left handed man in a right-handed world
I've tried a tablet w/out a screen and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how anyone uses them because I have zero frame of reference for where the stylus is going to land if I take it off the surface and move my hand to a new spot.
I know exactly what you mean.
Did you by chance learn to draw on paper before you went to digital? I had 30-40 years of muscle memory to try and overcome with a pen tablet and I couldn't get it. 10 years later I bought a screen tab and wish I'd done it far sooner.
I think it's just not for some people but then everyone is different.
@@weescamp I've been drawing on paper since I was a kid in the late 70's and my boomerism is probably half the problem. I really want to try a screened tablet because it looks like the best of both worlds but my friend lent me a wacom tablet and I nearly frisbeed that thing across the room because I couldn't keep track of where I needed to put the stylus down for the next line.
@@Y2KNW I can only speak from personal experience but I could not get over the discount between pen and looking at a monitor.
I certainly found a screen tablet to be as big an upgrade from a pen tab as a pen tab is from a mouse. Once I was able to see what I was drawing it all fell into place.
Granted there is still a learning curve but the difference was night and day. I hope you find something that works for you but you a definitely not alone in not being able to get away with a pen tablet.
I used a non-screen tablet for years before I ever tried any sort of digital drawing...but as a general pointing device at a time I had scant space for a regular mouse(i.e. a laptop parked on the edge of a dining room table with Zip and Jaz drives next to it, as my full-time machine). That may have given me a frame of reference for positioning my stylus (also you can hover the stylus over the tablet surface and the pointer will appear and show you where you're at) until I got used to knowing where my hand was on the tablet, much like touch-typing without looking at one's keyboard, except that pinpoint accuracy wasn't necessary.
Screen tablets either didn't exist or were horrifically expensive when I started using that Wacom ArtPad II in the Windows 3.1 era. Also, since I was still drawing on paper for years after that point in time, maybe I just didn't have any expectation of being able to transition to drawing entirely digitally right away -- I spent years just coloring scanned inks, which didn't require much in the way of precision, and very gradually started doing minor edits on these scans that very slowly became less and less minor till I was effectively re-drawing parts of these images...and stayed at that level for a long time before graduating to digital inking (with vectors using _Inkscape_ at first ), which may have fostered enough additional muscle memory to finally begin sketching digitally, at which point the rest of the process is already in-place.
Is my long-winded experience what lies in store for everyone starting out with a non-screen tablet? No, just like there are people who learn to touch type, and many more who never get beyond hunting-and-pecking. When I finally gained the resources to try screen drawing, I made nothing but false starts, first with a (now-deceased) Surface Pro 2, then a Lenovo IdeaPad 2-in-1 laptop, neither of which I ever got beyond making rough sketches on. Right now, I'm using a stylus-equipped Samsung tablet (S6 Lite) with Krita to do impromptu digital sketching/penciling, and that's mostly because it can lie flat enough to "feel" like my non-screen Bamboo and Intuos tablets (that, and I finally found the full-screen function in Krita that hides the back/home/switch buttons I kept triggering with the palm of my hand). I can't even imagine using a screen tablet easel-style like I see so many artists doing for long periods of time -- the fatigue arising from having your hand in the air so much isn't something I want to deal with, so it's quite likely that I'll never get to the point of _relying_ on a screen tablet to take a project start-to-finish.
PLEASE MAKE MORE DIGITAL ART TUTORIALS, MIKEY!
Pretty compact. Seems like it won't take up much space on a desk
I have subscribed so I can do some research for drawing
Dibujas muy genial, me inspiras a querer seguir dibujando 😃
Maybe I am a little late to the party, but congratulations on hitting a million subs! I love your videos xD
hey thanks a lot!!!^^
Tbh it seems really good but being a left handed ✋, its gonna be a hustle for me
Aren't many creatives actually leftys? Stupid design nonetheless. Why not make it symetrical so you can take out the keyboard, rotate the pad 180° and put the keyboard back in?
Bruh todo de 2022 era melhor q isso
Isso é assustador
what is the name of your drawing style, in this case the style you draw the characters??? I need to know because I think this type of drawing is very beautiful😁😁😁
hey i just wanna say that GOD loved the world so much he sent his only begotten son Jesus to die a brutal death for us so that we can have eternal life and we can all accept this amazing gift this by simply believing in him(Jesus).
I look forward a video to explain us how to render color like he do in the video, or his process to digital paint , it look amazing
I got one a while ago it's fucking amazing I love it so much its great 10/10

Hi, I wanted to ask, do you use references for poses?
Hey Mikey ! Great content! Can you make more tutorial on mapping face like Loomis method. I want to try increase my skill. thanks for your job.
Can you show your brush settings for line art.

I DONT NEED IT

Please can you do a tutorial of how draw arms and hair?
My only issue I see with this is that it's not left hand friendly.. I'm a lefty so I draw with my left and use my right hand to use hot keys or touch my keys on my pc..
The tablet I use allows me to spin it upside down for both left and right handed people to use it.
Do you perhaps have any tips for transitioning from drawing on paper to drawing digitally? I've been drawing on paper my whole life pretty much and I've only just recently been able to build a pc, I want to switch to digital because I find it difficult to do finer details as I have shakey hands so I feel like being able to zoom in would help me tremendously.
Well, first and foremost: DO NOT BUY WACOM, it's overpriced garbage, nothing that it used to be. The competition does offer lots and lots of alternatives at much better prices and sometimes even quality wise.
The big issue is that if you'll be able to get used to tablets without a display or you'll need a display tablet. So long story short look for tablets that are not from Wacom, like Huion, Gaomon and so on.
Related to shakiness, Photoshop and most of the softwares used nowadays do have brush stabilization. Which normally isn't great to get used to it, but in your situation it will def help I assume.
@@metalassassin8841 wish this comment existed when I got my Wacom a year ago.
Yo how much is the tablet I could use this. :D
SuS
But I'm left handed....🤷♀🤷♀
Yet, again. Left-handers utterly dismissed as invalid. I'm tired of using tablets upside down, but THIS!???
Because most left handers don't want to pay the premium,
why Premium? because not many left handers compared to right handers,
i am learning so much, of how to draw women

Will you ever make a face tutorial?
I've been in a bit of a rut, trying to get use to my new setup and living conditions. a bit cluttered at current sadly. and stress has gotten me out of my mood for drawing.
Thank you for uploading a new video, as watching you draw and hearing your voice seems to always get me in the mood for art. I may just listen to your art videos on binge a bit too much xD
Either way, I thank you, and I hope you have a lovely day Mikey. uwu
Pls draw male body for once🤣
have a huion canvas pro 12 screen 2020 model can confirm the glide feature is the same on most of that brand of drawing tablets with screens the nice thing about the band own several tablets are they make for good back up monitor's you can draw on and some times theirs crazy good deals around the holidays on the bigger draw screens too btw, also noted the feel is based on the finish of the screens as a whole so my non draw screen has that glide and feel that was described. also the tdp is rather low on the device's power use, i also agree when you draw for 3d apps you want in between 12 and 21 inches anything bigger is over kill the sweat spot i think for apps like blender sculpting is 16 inches. this brad is awesome just sucks they have no pure mmp 2.0 windows pen,if you have a draw on a pc laptop with active screen you need one of them you get pressure sensitivity to work.
Too bad I’m left handed
KEYBLET!!!! WOOOO
This.. this is what i need, clicking manual shortcut (combination with ctrl+key) is more comfortable than using programmable shortcut button in most of pen tablet. I dunno if this just me or not, but to me manual input shortcut is better. (well maybe that's because i already used to it).
you skill at drawing is goodlike
Not left handed friendly :(
Sadly no
Absolutely heart broken as a left hander. Would it be completely pointless for a lefty to get it?? Or is there a better alternatives
a left hand version may be coming soon. I say wait, as this is truly as good as Mikey makes it seem
Adding this to my notes of "What to get to start out as an artist"
I started to just watch these for fun and the speedpaints you make

Ive fallen into the hole of drawing tablets 3 hours after selling mine. I have a problem.
I love it and want it. But I also realize I'd never get a hand eye coordination to make it work. I can barely get a tablet with drawing on the screen working as I want. That said I usually only give it like 4 hours chance and then I get distracted by life.
Can I have one for free please?
look at those "water melons"
Well congrates on the baby

HO LEE, you almost never use the keyboard, or at least it doesn't seem like you do, i am constantly changing between two or three tools every 20 or 30 minutes and changing canvas parameters like a maniac
can you show us your setup I draw 3d and 2d and use keyboard and Stiles graphics tablet and laptop how I can make my setup comfortably
This makes me tired it’s 2023 and manufacturer don’t understand how to make ambidextrous devices. Making a detachable keyboard that can slide off and on like the joycons on each side is way to much
get an azeron - customizable left of right hand almost 30 custom bind keys
Does this have multitouch features? Like would I be able to use it to zoom in and out or scroll using my fingers too? Because I am use to my Wacom cintq and I use a combination of touch, express keys, and pen to help me navigate all the time
Nintendo DS tablet emulation dream, also who else fucking managed to use a stylus and the fucking movement controls on the ds while also fucking having your middle fingers on the buttons at the back for shooting and aiming?
Finally A Cultured Tablet Review. (≧▽≦)
If they made a version with the other half of the keyboard on the other side and included a few more macro keys to the sides I'd be fully on board.
Cries in left handed
Don't you just hate it when your keyboard and your drawing tab mated and gave birth to a seductive eldritch goddess who barely wears clothes?
