Ran one for 3 years, only cost me servicing and 1 steering pump, sold for same as purchase , best car I’ve ever had. So sad it’s gone

I’m lucky enough to have a xf sv8, it is truly fantastic
I’ve got a 2014 Infinity Q50S Hybrid. 3.5 liter V6 plus electric motor. 364bhp, 400lbs torque, 0-60 in 5.2 but still Ulez compliant and 44mpg combined. You can pick up for 12k mark now
The Q50S look beautiful. Nice car man. (Reviews say the combined fuel ec. is about 33mpg. And if driven hard, it's 19mpg. Are you a granny? 😂)
When petrol went to £2 a liter I learned the difference between doing 70 and my usual 80-90mph on the motorway. But I still say you won’t get a better mpg in a 5 second 0-60 petrol saloon. That plus Nissan servicing costs, I just got a full service and mot for just over £300. Like to see you get that from a BMW, merc or Audi
Best super saloon of all time imo is the Alfa 156 GTA although I’ve not driven a Giulia Quatrofoglio yet!

Best super saloon is a tough one since I've not had a proper go in many of them - all I can say is it's definitely not the F10 M5 😄 I want to say the GSF is my favourite since it's got everything, but an E39 is hard to look past. I like the E55 too, it's a proper Merc, the newer ones are flashier and apparently handle better but meh. The VXR8 is good, but falls way behind in luxury. The XFR would be great, but a GSF is basically just a more reliable XFR, so I'll stick with that...not that there's even 1 on Autotrader as I type this!
What’s a GSF- was it in the list. I had an XFRS and it was a beast.
@@iamthebroker Lexus GSF - 5.0L V8, 477hp and probably the best chassis in class, both Clarkson and Harris rated it higher than the M5 in a side-by-side review. Also flawless reliability and the 2UR engine now used in the LC500 which is known for being one of the best sounding V8s around. It's not the most powerful or fastest, but then anything with around 500hp is just fine in that regard! Also, super rare, which is nice (but not hard to get parts/servicing because it's a common engine).
My only problem with the GSF really is that you couldn't get it as a top-spec model, that was reserved for the GS450h Premier. I have a bit of a reputation in the JB comments section for banging on about the GS450h since that thing is magnificent, but it is a shame the GSF couldn't get the spec. That said, the standard kit is still roughly equivalent to a high spec BMW/Merc/Audi/Jag with a bunch of options on. The GSF is also a little behind in some tech though, even for a 10 year old car, since there's minimal phone connectivity and no HUD, for example, although you do get a 12.7" screen and the best sound system in the business (the reason I bought my GS).
As with any Lexus though, it does things differently to other brands so gets mixed reviews. Seems to be because people are used to the German way of doing things, so Lexus seems weird. I don't really understand that personally - after 3 years of daily Porsche driving, I still find most other German cars to be less intuitive than any Lexus I've driven...so clearly it's a personal taste thing.
That was a really long way of saying: it's an awesome car, go look it up but perhaps don't rely on the reviews too much - it's a car you'd need to drive to form any opinion of, which applies to most things admittedly, the porker is the only car where my opinions totally match most reviewers...

A few months back, while I was car hunting to replace my porker, I was on a 5 hour drive for work and fancied a coffee. I parked in Costa and then thought no: I'll have a free coffee instead - all I have to do is cross the road to the Jag dealer and test drive an F-Type! I'm still pleased with myself for that one...
To be fair, I wouldn't just do that to steal a coffee, I'm not quite that cheeky, but I wasn't planning to test it that day, I genuinely did just fancy the coffee 🤣

M5 CS is my goat......but hold up.... the tesla model 3 performance might have a shout to be in this category🙃...maybe later in the future .....450+ hp...0 to 60 in early 3s..or maybe we'll call it a sleeper....Tesla fan boys in the house of JB....yeaaahhhhh?
Funny, I've been in a model 3 and you're right, they are mesmerisingly quick! But a little more boring than the M5 outside of that sadly
What Am I : I have 250bhp, 2.0lt petrol turbo engine making 210 factory made by aeroplane engineers, 4 door saloon or 2 door convertible, some would say top tier engine reliability, some are making 400+bhp, the newer model is available in 4 wheel drive. I just bought a 100k miles convertible version for £850.. what am I?
