I got Angra Mainyu twice within six hours and hadn't been playing the game for more than a month. Then I got him a third time a while ago. I have yet to pull a 5 Star outside of a GSSR banner... I'm not sure if I have EX luck or a cursed form of it.
Since Angra is literally designed to be the worse servant in the game you're most likely as lucky as a guy who got strike by lightning thrice during a sunny day.
lol i got like a few rolls with jeanne, altoria, gilgamesh etc(with a bunch of other waifus). saved their codes. took gilgamesh and proceeded to give out the other codes to my friends who weren't satisfied with their rolls. all in the span of...15? rerolls. Glad they never had to grovel to Kirei.
Advice for E-Rank luck: A. Build a summoning shrine. B. If you whale, Buy the day BEFORE you’re going to roll. The first is because there are some studies that indicate a persons mindset might affect random number generators. The shrine just seems to put you in a hopeful mindset. The second is because like gambling machines, the Gacha is meant to make you want to continue playing and spending. I’ve found they grant me a little extra luck if I buy the day before, probably because the system assumes I REALLY want that servant the next day, and grants me at least one of the banner servants so I won’t quit.

Level 103 here, been playing F/GO since November 15th of last year. I’ve accumulated eight four stars and two five stars (Enkidu and Nightingale) over the time I’ve been playing. Pretty sure that’s probably less than average luck. But I do have a lot of five star CEs (at least ten), I seem to get one nearly every roll I do. So I’d say I have C- luck.
As a new player, I’m questioning if 4 star servants even exist, let alone 5 stars. Outside the one you get in the prologue and the free one from the anime campaign, I have only summoned a single 4 star. Lots of 4 star CEs, but 150 Prisms gave me a single Marie Antoinette servant wise.
Do yourself a favor and get out while you still haven't invested into the game very much. The only redeeming feature of this game is the story, though even then it's spread few and far between. Just watch the interesting parts online.

Summary of F/GO. Waifu->wallet, but in case anyone was wondering, if you've only spent 40 tickets, or spent 120 stones/saint quartz and got nothing, then that's only a 0.4% chance of a 5* servant appearing (1/100=x/40, x=0.4->0.4%), statistically speaking. You would need to spend 300 stones/saint quartz (100 summons, 1/100=1% per 5* servant) in order to be "guaranteed" a 5* servant, assuming that the percentages aren't lying. If you do the 10x summons, then it'd be a little higher than 1% per 5*, since you're guaranteed some stuff. I'm too lazy to do the rest of the math.
I doubt paid quartz have a higher success rate. To put things in a very blunt way, why give mercy to cashers when you can milk out more money from them? The only thing I've seen where paid quartz get an advantage are those paid quartz limited banners. Otherwise, paid quartz and free quartz don't make a difference in my opinion.
About that, F/GO isn't the only one that does that actually. Some gacha games in Japan on purposely do this, so they can hold those paid quartz gacha to earn some pocket money. They separate them just tell you the amount you can spend with free quartz and paid quartz. In the end, you just got to hope for luck, or become a reroller.

Fate was already super popular before FGO. FGO pretty much killed off the entire Nasuverse outside of Fate, and even then new Fate spinoffs are being released slower and slower since they're just not necessary anymore. Why write a new Fate story if FGO already rakes in so much cash for so little effort?
