Beauty and the Breakdown is still to this day one of my all time favorite metal albums. 13 years old and it sounds like it was recorded and mixed last year. I can't start the album without feeling the need to finish it because it flows so smoothly, and its so fuckin heavy. God I'm so glad they are back and giving this album love. fuck yeah.
I feel the same way. Beauty and the Breakdown was their peak imo. The production was fantastic. I love the song title theme and the way they are structured. The start House of Straw gets me every time, especially seeing it live.
Jason Suecoff man. Dude is the best modern metal recording engineer...I don't understand how a band can record with him then decide to record elsewhere. I mean Black Dahlia Murder-Nocturnal might be the best sounding metal album of all time.

Awesome, brings back so many memories of back in the day, Weymouth mass. My hometown, Charles town, Worcester. Same with blood for blood and the acacia strain, at 40 I still love this shit. You can’t beat the old school Boston hardcore scene.
During a Parkway Drive show TGI opened for back in like 2013, Mat came out during Chrono for his part, hopped in the crowd and started smashing people. HAHA! Legit!
Bubble is still with bury your dead but he was on tour with all that remains during this. Slim isnt in the band anymore. He's been out since 2017. He is a full time emt now.
I respect Myke as an artist. Dude had great vocal range, but I don't think that he was a good fit for BYD. With that said, there's some songs on the s/t album that were absolute bangers IMO like "Sympathy Orchestra" and "A Devil's Ransom." I appreciate that he and Mat seem to have respect for each other.
