Starting in the center is a solid option but in the end its a two way conversation with the paper, if it wants the edge then it gets the edge!

Hi Chris! It's an embossing tool. I print the crease pattern onto an A4, the emboss along the lines for clean crisp folds. Seems to be the best method when folding this stype of masks.
