I can’t believe what a difference the magnets make! I can’t wait to “fix” my daughters from 3-4 years ago! Just made one for my grandkids and it is all sitting so nice I can’t get over it! I also used 80 lb I think for the base and that is super helpful, I even doubled some of them and glued together but you have to make sure all the slots line up well, I had to use a Kraft knife and fix some of them while doubling up, but it is super sturdy this time around!
Magnets!!! Why didn’t I think of this!?! I’ve used the same one for the past 5 or more years for my oldest daughter and constantly had to deal with them falling out. I’m going to fix that today! Thank you!!
I'm wondering if the magnets are truly necessary. I mean, I know that I don't have to use them, but do the drawers just fall out without them? This is a beautiful advent calendar.
Hi Jennifer; great video. I know you say there are 3 box sizes, can you tell us what the three different sizes are? I’m trying to see what I can place in each box. Thank you,
You can see the details on the blog post. The smallest ones can fit Hershey Kisses or peanut butter cups in them. jennifermaker.com/christmas-tree-advent-calendar-25-days-projects/
I'm making one right now on my Circuit Joy. I had to hand cut out the large tree shelf, medium and large boxes but everything else was fine. If the large and medium were not two boxes I think it would have been able to do them all on the Cricut Joy.
I got some kid chap stick, small keychains mini jar of Nutella fits great in bottom ones, money, some others suggested mini erasers, holiday tattoos. I bought a few things that did not fit in, books, ornaments and in those days are slips of papers that say “see mom for day 11 treat” (made for my grandkids) . Gift cards will fit in the larger ones as well.
@@snowcrustracer your welcome,p! there are definitely some cute inexpensive items that just don’t fit, so the slips and dollars really help in those top boxes!

Yay!
I got a whole pack of Holiday cardstock that I can't wait to craft with. This tree advent calendar will be exciting to make.
Have fun!

@@JenniferMakerOk, thank you.
LOVE IT!!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
love it❤
Thank you!
Would it work with the cricut joy?
The files in this project are a bit too large to be cut on a Cricut Joy or Joy Xtra.
@@JenniferMakerI would love to do a small tree with the Cricut Joy

Can magnets be cut with Explore 2?
Yes 😊🌻

What little gifts are folks putting in the tree? Need some ideas other than candy.
