Would love to see a start collecting Westphalian’s in conjunction with a max your mini on how to utilize some plastic sets. Love the videos and keep up the great work with the channel!
Newer subscriber to your channel and really enjoy it. Do you announce when the live segments will be on? Taking off August is very European Union of you! 🤪. I found your channel based on the War of 1812 videos as I am across that large pond. I know it is a sideshow for Napoleonics but we here can’t wait for more on that little war. Some fascinating battles and many commanders and units from the Peninsular War fought here in both the Chesapeake and New Orlando campaigns. One bad for us and one bad for you guys. Anyway, a good way to give back to your American friends but also cover British armies familiar to your traditional viewer base. Enjoy.
Hello, good sir, i have been around the channel for about 2 years now. I rewatch your historical videos constantly and am now warmed to the idea of starting to paint and collect the soldiers. Could you direct me to somewhere that is friendly to beginners? As in, give specifics about paints and brushes? Btw great to hear an update, and I am looking forward to the future! I'm really excited for more historical videos in the works :)
It would be really cool to see an expansion to the battle reports based on the start collecting videos. The Waterloo battle is easily one of my favorite videos of yours. Additionally, It would be nice to see a sort of idiots guide to the armies that revolve around everything but the minis. FOr example, if starting Austrians this is where you get rules for them in black powder, or here are the 3 different books to get rules for the French and so on.
Superb video hope you have a well earned rest Tim , I'm hoping to try and make it next year , I say try as my wife was diagnosed with cancer and has taken up a lot time and support, that will be continuing into next year so i won't until closer to the date as to if can make it. In the meantime I need to paint up a lot more french and figure out how I will manage to get there with my health issues. Anyway have a wonderful summer break , take care Terry
Thanks for doing this, always good to catch one of your vids. For my part, I would love to see something from you on the Italian Campaign, I love the Epic TV series on it, and I'm building (very slowly) a French Demi-Brigade (now I know what it is!) for it using Skytrex and Eureka minis, and if I'm lucky expand it to a division, I would kill for a campaign book on it from Warlord.
I will most certainly be coming back, and, fingers crossed, with reinforcements!! Thank you so much for organising under eagles to glory, it was great fun, and it inspired me to organise a big olde battle for my own gaming group!
Excellent video as always, gonna miss the summer videos. I had a question for you or anyone, I have 3 regiments of Hanover for Waterloo. I painted 2 normally but the third I wanted to do something interesting, anyone knows what I can convert them to, doesn't matter the nation. Imodel for 1812 onward so anything there would be great, but throughout the period would still be cool. Thank you in advance, and enjoy your summer
Tim, as you are 'the Napoleonic Wargamer', when you make your Egypt trip will you be abandoning the rest of your travelling party and rushing home alone? 😂😂😂
Start collecting for 15, 10 or 6mm would be interesting. 15mm especially would be useful. Seems like there’s alot of different companies that do different things.
@@NapoleonicWargaming Thank you! Unfortunately i won't be able to make it in February, i have to go to school... one weekend would be too short to fly to the UK.
Start Collecting French update would certainly be my vote. Theatre based is definitely a good idea Tim. The Peninsular War two part French and British was excellent.
Brigade Games have an American 1812 selection. I was going to use extra British and paint them Blue but since they have minis already…might buy some of those next convention.
Theater of opps :- Eviction of the French from the islands in the med. maritime action/landings, skirmishy battles, coordination with Greek forces, etc.
To some it may not matter but what flags are used for what British and Russian Regiments and what Divisions they are in ? ( I know them) . 4 Russian Regts are bonded to a certain Division and have certain flags each. Information hard to link up and find
@Rusty_Gold85 your best bet is to find the regiments in the division you're interested in and see if a company makes flags for those units (GMB for example). It'll be easier with the Russians as they all have the same facings. For the Brits, they have a flag that matchers the colour of their facings, that will limit the regiments you can do (unless you buy the flag first and paint the unit to match)

Great episode as ever buddy!! Would you ever look at Napoleon in Egypt?
Absolutely not (looks shifty at 3 feet pile of Nap in Egypt shame) 🤣🤣🤣

You could do them as Prussians. They had a huge number of uniforms provided by the British (equally so did Spain). You could also go Dutch

Hahaha. Naturally!
Enjoy your break!
Could we get a one size fits all for the smaller German states?
Have a great holiday 😊

When will next year's event be? If it's during my school break i might be able to make it.
@@imrahilvondolamroth4205 I can't remember exactly, I think the first weekend of February

@imrahilvondolamroth4205 ooh, news just in, it's actually the 1st and 2nf of March (I doubt that's better!) Maybe we'll meet up at Adept/Histori-con
@@NapoleonicWargaming That is actually better, the following week is no school! I'll see if i can manage to come!
