Because he fought trucks a bit to stop him from interfering. If Cell AND Vegeta were looking for her, I think eventually she was gonna get caught. Would've been interesting to see how that would play out though. Would they find 18 or the others fend off Vegeta & Cell? Also, if Vegeta is simply distracted, what stops Cell from going on a killing spree? Trucks is the only one strong enough but he can't fight off both. It's not that easy to solve. Once Vegeta stops trying to kill Cell, the whole situation becomes a lot more awkward.

I love how he didn't include Piccolo into all this because Piccolo is the realest Z Fighter out of everybody. Sure he got bodied by Nappa, Frieza and Cell but he never gave up - Piccolo is just one of those characters you can't hate on.
Technically piccolo had to be one of the smartest and considerate Z fighters they had only reason he had to fuse with kami was for a powerup to take on the androids or cell (idk about if he could beat 17 np but with cell.... we know how that went) but afterwards when goku saved him and tien piccolo accepted his fate that cell was getting too strong to where there was nothing he could do so in reality piccolo was just smart

Good point, this is an aspect that gets forgotten after Goku came from Earth, but becoming SSJ essentially makes you really unstable. Hell, Goku on Namek could barely contain himself with his own friends. Gohan getting a new form and having zero emotional control of it makes a lot of sense.

Super Saiyan form had nothing to do with him letting Frieza get to full power. As a Saiyan, he craves a challenge. That's all. The idea of having a chance to fight a stronger opponent excites him. Later, in Super, Frieza uses this knowledge against Goku to convince him to bring him back to life. He said something along the lines of, "I got Golden form after just a few months of training. Aren't you curious to see how more powerful I can become?" And now they have Black Frieza to deal with. lol
Tien is a real homie almost sacrificing his life holding down Semi-Perfect Cell just for 18 to do nothing and Krillin to break the remote, spitting in Tien's face after his moment of badassery.

So many problems could've been avoided if the Saiyans weren't so cocky and bloodthirsty. Goku and Vegeta are some of the worst examples of letting things get out of hand just because of their ego. Imagine all the lives lost because Goku wanted a tougher fight.
I'm gonna give Piccolo a pass because the reason he didn't kill Cell in Gingertown was because he was trying to figure out what he was as well as his intentions. Dude made a smart move because the last thing the crew needed was another batch of Androids to come out of nowhere without warning (I mean that happened in the recent movie but still). Heck, Piccolo grilling Cell for answers was the reason they knew to find and destroy Gero's basement in order to stop another Cell from coming forward.
Piccolo did more then he did in the future, he fused with Kami. Which was enough to “stall” android 17. In the future, he could not touch one of the android.
Gohan was the only one that didn't defend himself at any accusation, because he was well aware of how he screwed up. He was just grateful to Mal asking if his arm was ok( even though he got the wrong timeline).
True but remember Cell sent a beam towards Vegeta and Gohan took the hit and was only able to attack Cell at the end with one arm. That's what he was referring to.

Toryamas entire team hated cell in general. Absolute nightmare to draw since they had to redraw him every panel cause of the spots. That man will never make another official appearance. I gotta question toryama now cause he really stuck with this design knowing what a nightmare it would have been

Piccolo is quite literally the only one in the Cell Saga who did his part and didn't fuck up. Put the team on his back and was the strongest for a good few episodes trying to take out the Androids BY HIMSELF.
piccolo, tien, and trunks held this entire arc together. piccolo being who he is, is the reason (in my head canon) that toriyama never gave him any further power boosts. he is the only Z fighter in the timeline (bar tien) that straight up goes for the kill asap. instead we get goofy ass saiyans playing games till the villain is too strong to joke with.
Piccolo let Cell slip from him after Piccolo tricked Cell into spilling his past and motivations Piccolo could have killed him but let him escape with a solar flare also trunks couldn't do shit to cell at the time he hadn't trained in the HBTC yet
and then that just leaves Yamcha lol. man got completely demolished in seconds from the very first android and was outta commission for the rest of the show
Tien and Trunks are the only guys Mal would dap up after this arc. Tien held Cell after Vegeta and Krillin acted brand new, and Trunks gracefully finessed his getback on 17, 18, and Cell after going home.

I understand ChiChi chose to marry Goku and have half-breed children and that she brought it all on herself (having to do all the house work and doesn’t get much gratitude and respect for feeding and putting over their heads). But to be fair, she & Goku at the time didn’t know much about Saiyans and that this how they were born to be. Both of them weren’t of what they were getting themselves into.
It's even funnier how Goku easily knew that Vegeta would royally screw that up is the acknowledgement of the fact that this is exactly what he would also try to do in a fight against a strong opponent like Cell.
To be fair Gohan was like 9-10 years old. Goku, an adult, could barely handle his emotions when he went Super Saiyan so I can only imagine what Gohan was feeling 😂

Piccolo was the only one that was keeping up and he screwed up many times. He could have taken on 19 after Goku went down. Could have killed Gero, twice. He could have kill or have severely weakened Imperfect Cell in that first encounter
Tein and Piccolo were legit goku rivals, idk what happened to Vegeta and Krillin this arc. Between them three cell could have been defeated at least 3 times, 4 if you include the fact that goku admits he could have been killed cell.
Tien and Piccolo and Yamcha(surprisingly) came out the cell saga realtively clean. they showed up, did what work they could, and didnt screw anything up. they got cooked no doubt but they put on for the team the best they could.
Tien ESPECIALLY. Nobody asked or expected him to even CONFRONT cell and any point, but he decided to fuck around and blast him into the ground for 4 hours

Mans was like "even if I die I don't care, I'll buy enough time for help to arrive" and went on to hold off Semi Perfect Cell, not even the first form, THE SECOND FKN FORM. None of the others could've done anything there. And the cherry on top is the fact that he's just a human. If he was a Saiyan he would've been the strongest warrior ever. Also gotta praise TFS for actually treating him the way he deserves. But all of that goes to waste thanks to Vegeta being a cocky jerk and Krillin who wanted a walking talking sex doll.

I love cell so much because it's a lesson in futility. All they had to do was stop the androids from getting absorbed, and they had so many chances and they got so close so many times, but it's impossible to avoid the inevitable.

The constant dumb egotistical decisions are what made DBZ great. It made the audience puzzled and created a lot of What If scenarios which made it more fun to think about. It was emotion driven and about controlling one's ego. It wasn't about pure action.

Guess there's evil in Gohan after all. Saw a video on YT about Budokai Tenkaichi 3 where a character has the ultimate move that does damage based on the amount of evil inside them. Was surprised to see it did damage to Gohan. Only Goku and Goten were immune. Sure, it's only a game and maybe not canon but Gohan might not be the saint everyone thinks he is.

His thought process was pretty sound too. All he had to do was take down one android and Cell would have been fucked.

piccolo, tien, and trunks held this entire arc together. piccolo being who he is, is the reason (in my head canon) that toriyama never gave him any further power boosts. he is the only Z fighter in the timeline (bar tien) that straight up goes for the kill asap. instead we get goofy ass saiyans playing games till the villain is too strong to joke with.

1.) As far as significant people go, Vegeta beat Goku in the saiyan saga with his ape form enough to render him unable to move or fight. So it makes no sense to not mention that in this video.
2.) Goku’s death is not Gohan’s fault. Gohan never asked for that to happen. Goku did that on his own accord. Gohan is not like his father either.
3.) If Krillin didn’t land with Android 18, how would be able to do so with Marron since we all know how that turned out? What’s he supposed to do after shutting her down and we’re out of the Cell saga?
I was gonna say Trunks started the whole thing by creating a butterfly effect in the timeline, but at least he still had the common sense to correct his mistakes 🤣 dude was gonna run the 1s with his pops if that's what it took to keep Cell from going perfect😭
If Trunks didn't do what he did, Future timeline would have been the present timeline

Tien Shinhan gotta deserve a lot of praise. Mans was like "even if I die I don't care, I'll buy enough time for help to arrive" and went on to hold off Semi Perfect Cell, not even the first form, THE SECOND FKN FORM. None of the others could've done anything there. And the cherry on top is the fact that he's just a human. If he was a Saiyan he would've been the strongest warrior ever. Also gotta praise TFS for actually treating him the way he deserves. But all of that goes to waste thanks to Vegeta being a cocky jerk and Krillin who wanted a walking talking sex doll.

I love cell so much because it's a lesson in futility. All they had to do was stop the androids from getting absorbed, and they had so many chances and they got so close so many times, but it's impossible to avoid the inevitable.

The constant dumb egotistical decisions are what made DBZ great. It made the audience puzzled and created a lot of What If scenarios which made it more fun to think about.
