You need the destructible robots mod, and you can destroy the robots Also a mod that might help you is. God mode makes you completely immortal. Only Insta kills can kill you.
Your gun was actually doing anything in the beginning because the recoil I hope you understand because that means the gun shakes up so you have to put attachment that has recoil
