- Alonso is back from the Venice Film Festival just in time to see "A Haunting in Venice." He has a quick, out-of-the-theater social reaction to the latest Agatha Christie adaptation from director Kenneth Branagh, who also returns as super sleuth Hercule Poirot. Starring Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey and Jamie Dornan. Full review coming Sept. 15 once Christy has seen the movie, too. Do you plan on seeing "A Haunting in Venice"? Let us know in the comments!

"None of this weird green screen bullsh!t that you got in the other movies." Sounds better already.
It was distracting in Death on the Nile!
Oh, good, I really wanted this to be fun.
But did you ever find another great place for gelato?
Ha, we will have a full gelato recap on news Friday!
The trailer is interesting, however why does Yeoh have to be so ugly? Why not the young girl in the original?
Is this an Agatha Christie? I'm excited for this! I hope this is better than Death On The Nile.
Too much background noise
Tina Fey is the only reason I even have a mild interest in this movie.
once you said "green screen" I went "Oh wait, yeah." Wow, they need a brand these films better with numbers and names on it. Branagh is always interesting.
Who is the killer?
Great reaction bro
Thanks bro!
Did they screen Greek Wedding 3 for the critics?
Yep, review coming Friday!
This is exactly what I was hoping to hear! As someone who wasn’t a huge fan of Belfast or the other recent Poirot movies, I was hoping the Branagh of Dead Again (or even Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein) would make an appearance.
Great, full review coming next week!
Are there jump scares or just spooky? Please i need this information
One jump scare.
A couple of jump scares, but honestly the ‘horror’ is more used to give it a gothic, moody feel.
Ha ha ha: love the trolling w/the face mask from the film 😆😆😆
Comparable to DEAD AGAIN!?!? Now, I'm definitely pumped to see it!!!!
Welcome back Alonso ! That’s great to hear. I’ve been watching the old BBC/PBS episodes starring David Suchet with my Dad and now I want to see this. Thank you!
This marks self-confessed horror fan Michelle Yeoh's second (sort of) horror film after "Morgan." I still wish she teams up with her fellow Malaysian James Wan in the future.
Oh good. I wanna watch this since it deviates a lot from Hallowe’en Party.
Looking forward to this was hoping it was gonna be a Regal Mystery movie but I'll check it out in IMAX next week.
Man I would love to see this at my local but it does not have good enough projection to handle how dark this movie looks. When they showed the trailer it was pretty much a black screen 😂
This is great to hear! I like the trailer a lot, but we know that even with a good trailer, it could go either way. I'm looking forward to this!
Yay to less greenscreen!!! Totally took me out of the last two, excited to see whats the tea w/ this one
I saw an advance screening yesterday. I think this one is the best of 3 so far in terms of story and acting, and is so atmospheric! The cast is so great and Tina Fey is such a great scene partner for Ken Brenaugh. Plenty of jump scares and a mini reunion of Belfast! It’s a great hang!
Are there jumpscares? Or just spooky?
Because it's based on (but not entirely faithful to) the book, I just started reading it so I can do that comparison too. I'm only 40so pages in and it felt like mostly Hercules chatting with a local former associate cop. Did they really trade out bobbing for apples for some other untimely death?! I hope to find out soon! Welcome back, Alonso! Hope you had some fun on the Lido.
