I know you was talking about this perfume but I couldn’t stop looking at your hair, the highlights are popping on your skin and looks really good on you.
I have both and love them both. However, I heavily prefer the intense version. It's a true flanker; done right. It has similar DNA, but the intense version is different enough to stand on it's own 2 feet. It could almost be it's own perfume but it still has enough similarity to remind you of the original. It's different enough for someone to like one and not the other, which is what most people seem to say. Obsessed. ❤
I tryed it today in store and I don’t like the Intense version even if I’m in love with the original Dona Born in Roma. Personally, I found them pretty different. I don’t smell berries at all. For me it smells like a more masculine version of the perfume. The benzoin notes are very present, too heavy for me. It’s not a bad send. It has definitely a similar ADN to the original but I’m not in love. I strongly suggest to try it before buying.
I think people DO like it. They just like to hate on things that are popular because it's not "cool" to admit that the thing that everyone else loves, you love too. I had a friend in school who would denounce everything and anything someone said they liked. It was extremely annoying and painfully obvious what she was doing. I slowly began to realize that a ton of people were doing it and they all thought that they were just too cool for anything that was liked by ANYONE. As I've gotten older, I notice that so many people do this. Especially young people. Once you get to a certain age, you don't care what anyone likes, or what's cool, you just buy they things that make you happy, regardless of their status.
On the "Now Smell This" blog, it lists extra notes: "A floral amber with bergamot, blackcurrant, vanilla, jasmine and benzoin" I'm not sure why Fragrantica missed this
Fragrantica misses a few notes on more fragrances than they shoud. I wish there was a button for users to report when they do so they can update the information.
I heard that the bourbon vanilla note was stronger which makes me want to get it. Bourbon Vanilla is one of my favorite notes, so I’m excited to try it.
I love both the original & intense versions ! They are both grown woman perfumes, but not in an elderly way. The intense is perfect for the fall & winter and going out, and the original is versatile and good for any time of the year 💯
Coconut Milk Mango by illume candle company is such an amazing coconut perfume. And it’s $20. Out of all my fragrances, this one randomly gets the most compliments. Plus the travel bottle says “go be lovey” and that part lifts my spirits.
I don’t care for the Intense and I absolutely LOVE the original. The jasmine in the intense is dirtier, skankier which is reminiscent of Mugler jasmine. It’s a hard no for me. While I can smell the original dna, the jasmine is too overpowering for me and even dwarfs the bourbon vanilla. I’m glad that you love it though!!!

I was gonna get Alien Goddess Intense and was worried that the DBIR Intense would be too similar to that one so thank you for clarifying that they're not that similar! I just went into Ulta to test all of these and fell in LOVE with The original and the Coral!! I layered them together, and it was Love! I got a lot of the orange in the coral version! I adore anything with a strong orange note!!🍊 The Intense was NOTHING like any of the other ones and I HATED it!!! I just could not handle the scent at all!! I didn't get any berry notes! Just super masculine and icky to me!!! I walked out of Ulta with the Orginal and Coral big bottles, and my fiancee almost jumped on me! He LOVED it!!😂
I just bought the 1.7oz original Donna Born in Roma two days ago at Ulta & mine had a cap. I wanted to try the Intense version but my store didn’t have it and I’ve read soooooo many people saying they love the original but don’t like the intense, so that turned me away. I have found that the original didn’t have great lasting power on me even though it’s a lovely fragrance.

Yes! I bought a 1.7oz almost a year ago, and it's capped. I've seen other youtubers with the clip locks that were complaining about them, so I think they repackaged them once they got the hint lol.
To me this smells like suntan lotion- so yummy! The first day I tried it on I was getting compliments left and right… the jasmine in this is so like sweet and creamy- love love love.
also, I noticed that your back set up for fragrances looks very different from the time you did the whole perfume collection video. AND I SEE A LOT OF BODY MISTS could u maybe one day walk us through your body mists collection just to see which ones you kept after all those hauls??

Y’all! I ❤️ Donna Born in Roma, but it comes across too smoky on me-not a good smoky, either. Like, I just stepped out of a dive bar smoky 🤮. But! I layer it with YsL Libre Intense. Fabulous! Takes that smoke right out for me 😊
It does smell smokey!! I've never heard anyone mention it besides you, but to me it's more of a campfire smokey. I think it would be perfect for fall. I think the Guaiac Wood gives it the smokey scent.

Idk what note is in it that makes me think that but as of right now I prefer the OG. I'd be interested in the dry down hours later but off first impression, it's not something I'm interested in buying.

Btw they do have perfume oils for each of their perfumes. I would like to hear your opinion on them and their longevity, because I really am thinking of buying some of ‘em (choco musk, soft, dalal, golden sand - perfume oil) Thank you
New goal is to spray one on each arm and see how they do. I don't personally like their bottle design as far as the glass bead look, but I love the deep ombre.
Hi🙋. I have tested first and just purchased the Valentino Dona Born In Roma Intense Travel Perfume Spray yesterday (Saturday) from Sephora's Tysons Corner Mall (Tysons Corner, Virginia). 🥰This is a heavy loving deeper, stronger dark smell. A good wear of 8 hours (Jasmine, Vanilla, Amber)
I do not like very much original, maybe cos it smells like something I already have in my collection. However, intense is fantastic. I love benzoin and it goes well with jasmine and vanilla. I do not sense a lot of jasmine as benzoin is very powerful note. Love it.
So far I’m Not loving the Intense version on me, looove the original DBIR is like one of my favorites, I’ll use it a couple of times more to see if it works on my body chemistry
I wish it lasted longer… I got the travel spray and I felt like it didn’t last long or I went nose blind to it and I didn’t receive any compliments so I don’t feel like it projected
I love the original but the intense I had to send it back it smelled stinky on me ...I had high hopes and keep trying but I didn't want to have to layer and make it work considering how much I paid for it.
I wonder if they have some bad bottles? I had never smelled any of them, but the Intense one I smelled in Ulta just smelled TERRIBLE! Nothing like the others at all! I feel in Love with the others but the Intense just smelled really Bad! Maybe i will try to find a different tester!!
