I was 17 and madly in love. He was in a bad car accident on December 28th and on new year's eve I was at his side I the hospital and I Alone video came on. It was definitely a moment that defined that time. He was a lot like Ed, very intense, spiritual and wrote poems and songs too. Can't wait to see them for the first time tomorrow night!
Secret Samadhi is one of the best records of it's time released, good rock when death began taking it's toll in the alternative world.

Samadhi is fantastic.
I played the trumpet in marching band too! Wouldn't change that for the world...I learned SO much about rhythm and just team work in marching band, great times.

I remember watching them at peppermint beach club in Virginia beach.. hardly anyone there! Then a year later I saw them at shoreline amphitheatr in California with I giant crowd. Ed looked like he was trying to comprehend how he got that big!

Confused about the song heaven. 6 months from writing it from a 3rd trimester is ed saying his daughter could sing at 4 months old. The car designed for California is odd.

Nintendude gaming,. this interview was several years before he became a Christian. Hopefully he's still passionate about his faith, I haven't seen any recent interviews to get an idea.
Yeah a little research would show you are incorrect. His life began as a Catholic, went into eastern religions during the 90’s and came full circle becoming born again Christian. Did he experiment? Yes, many of us in the 90’s did. But like Kowalchzek I became Christian after being pagan for much of my life as my own father was Wiccan. Listening to old interviews isn’t necessarily going to give you an idea of what he believes now or what he believed prior to becoming famous. Influence in rock and roll from the labels and management especially on 15yr old kids can be very destructive. However, God and the Holy Spirit use even the lost in beautiful ways and you can hear those things in the lyrics of many of their songs despite what the world believes. Happy Easter, The Christ is risen.
