this guide is amazing… but its alot. i did my first kc by watching a condor guide in 20 minutes. your title is “for learners”. as much as all of the extra information is appreciated, its too much for a learner. the goal for a learner should be to survive so that mechanics can be practiced. most of the information in this guide falls under the “what to improve upon once youve learned tob”. so with that being said, now that ive learned the basics of tob, this guide is incredibly useful for everything i need to perfect.
i think what many people are missing out on is, you can watch guides as much as you want but until you actually go there, and do it over and over and over and fail enough times you may never actually succeed.
The guide is only an hour and a half because of how detailed he talks about all the rooms and adds additional ways to improve after you learn the basics. I learned ToB with a few friends and we avoided this guide because it goes into too much detail that you just going to forget as a first timer. However, this guide is great once you know the basic mechanics to learn why stuff happens in situations.
I love your youtube channel brother its amazing im binge watching all ur vids after watchibg the inferno guide (ps i will have the cape soon i promise that) keep up the good work homie
I am always excited for a new guide from Gnomonkey, and this was is fantastic as always. One big complaint however: You use the word "ticks" way too many times in this video. You use it to describe the monster AND the unit of time. If you called them spiders and game cycles you would cut down on a lot of confusion. At least one or the other. Calling them both ticks made this very difficult to watch.
excellent video as always, have you considered remaking your corrupt gauntlet guide, think because you made it a couple weeks after release its a bit out dated but was a good starting point for me, your pathing video really helped me with gauntlet aswell
Gnomonkey please could U do a follow up vid with more advanced tactics, skipping/stacking, bloat flinching, 5t xarpus, hato staff for P1, pog tanking, solo ToB tactics, Hardmode, etc
ToB is my favorite content in the game, it's hard to learn and even harder to master. The MvP and wipe system keeps it fresh (compared to CoX) and the drop rate is more forgiving. Finding a consistent team is harder than the content itself though lol
guide is great, but i felt like the tanking portion of p3 wasn't greatly explained. that is the biggest struggle i have, esp when verzik is below 20, i know you can trade 1 for 1, but when im raiding with learners who only have whips, that last 20perc goes down so slow, esp when all theyre doing is running and not doing damage or dying.
I came from Rs3 and I dont understand why all the best PVM content in OSRS is raids,. you either have TOB or COX and those are the best money makers and hardest content, where as in RS3 you have Telos, and Araxxor which are both very long 5-10+ minute SOLO kills and extremely rewarding. OSRS doesn't really have this, at best the solo player gets Vork or Zulrah and neither of those drop very expensive items, the highest item you'll find is going to be on slayer bosses like Cereb or Hydra. Seems like the OSRS team never really took solo bossing to the next level which is a shame.
If you're after high value solo drops there are a couple of options. I know people solo the nightmare and CoX. There's also GWD though the drops there might be worth around 30m or something. Vorkath is still a good money maker, but yeah the drops are just consistent supplies.
Interested in what you mean by "alting" as the best money maker ingame. Do you mean money-making alts, which is sort've no-time money in a way, or using alts to scale at COX? I'm not that knowledgeable in either raids 1 or 2, so just asking.
Didn't get thru the whole video but do you think my maxed 60 attack zerker acc could do tob? It's my only account and I'm not willing to ruin it for one raid.
love the vid :) ive a few problems TOB. first, everyone is soooo toxic and second is that you will find no player who are willing to teach. you can only find teams with other learners and will because of that never complete raids. ive done a lot of learner raids and only a few items ive been at verz P2. most of the time someone dies early at verzik and with noobs you will never be able to do a +1 at verzik. could someone please explain how to find normal teams and teachers that arent super toxic or will boost you for a lot of money?
@@Skironxd ive joimed multiple clans and asked multiple times in every clan (politely) is someone would like to teach me. Every time people are like. Yeaa i would like to help you. But noone ever does. You just wait and wait but noone has ever time or doesnt want to do it anymore. Most likely cuz the team will wipe and they will lose money or something.
I learned it in the ffa world with 0 kc'ers... its ruff and you will lose lots of money, but you will learn all the mecanics... but its defently possible... but remeber TOB is the latest content you should do... if you know cox, and other bosses you will learn tob faster as well. lots of people pay for leaches... so they get kc so they can do tob with others... however this make people with kc really bad and you find 0 kc'ers that is better than 20 kc'ers

Wow, more difficult than Inferno? How would you rank the difficulty here with Corrupted Gauntlet, COX, and Nightmare? I struggle with Corrupted Gauntlet and Nightmare, but feel like they're doable. Never attempted COX or TOB or Inferno but just from guides I feel like Inferno is not even doable
COX is definitely the easiest of those 4. I haven't been able to finish any of the other 3 but I know plenty of people who consistently complete Corrupted Gauntlet and TOB, but cannot do Inferno, so I would say that is the hardest. Comparing TOB to gauntlet is tricky since youre comparing a 7 minute solo event with 1 boss and zero gear requirements to something that is typically done in a 3-4 man team. In TOB you could get carried by good teammates, or bad teammates could kill you even if youre a pro.
It's a different kind of content but I'd say inferno is harder. 570kc ToB here, max combat and max gear for inferno, still can't get my damn infernal cape.
I take everything Gnome says as fact. But my team insists on me bringing ancestral instead of void mage for north mage role. Can anyone confirm whether or not ancestral is that much better? I really like the easy switch with void at nylos
Just some constructive criticisms; using ‘tick’ as a unit of time and also a descriptor of several monsters makes the guide confusing. Also I suggest giving an overview of the monster before going into the mechanics of specific phases. This guide isn’t really meant for beginners since it requires pretty extensive knowledge beforehand.
In nylo room, if all 4 pillars fall it is not an instant death. The rest of the alive nylos will agro you, leading to an inevitable death if the player(s) alive don’t know what they are doing. But you and your team will technically still be alive if you would have not died from the last pillar itself killing you from the damage it does from falling.
