Hello. Thanks for the video very educational. I am having similar issues with the date wheel and more than likely will need to get the same parts you replaced. Therefore wanted to ask what are the part numbers of the pieces you acquired and where? Lastly for the winding woks. Specially that circle with the little ball bearings. Is there a need to special clean and place lubricants prior to reinstalling ? Thanks for any insight you can provide.
Hello, and thanks for watching! I obtained parts from a donor movement which I bought on eBay. If I understood it correctly, you are asking about bearings in automatic works, where the oscillating weight goes. Yes, those bearings need to be lubricated before putting rotor on. I did it off camera. Good luck in your repairing!
Orient moviment and seiko is very confiable, i have an 46943 and an 6119, cheap, precise and robust, recomend, buy used and work very good, maximum 10 secounds a day for + or -.
I opened the watch and noticed that the golden balance spring has stopped and not moving. Should I fixed this or need to replace that part to make it working. Thanks
@@mudasirzubair6039 Mudasir, I cannot answer your question, because I am not able to psychically inspect your watch. Not moving balance wheel could be simply because the mainspring is not wound up, or it might be many other reasons. I'd recommend to find somebody with watchmaking experience in your area, who can diagnose the problem. Good luck!
Hi, i've service my 46941 and change the balance wheel with new one...but it still not functioning..what's cause this problem? Can u give ur opinion..thanks :)

Just want to restore my father watch. Does it require battery for working ? Thanks
This is a mechanical watch and it doesn't use a battery. It uses a mainspring instead, as an energy source. Good luck in your restoration!
