I was astounded when I found out that Storm Large is her real name. Then, I realized it actually made perfect sense. I saw one of her solo shows a few years ago. She had just turned 50 and believe it or not she looks even better in person. She is truly stunning.

Thomas Lauderdale formed Pink Martini in 1994 in Portland Oregon combining various musical genres. He's a better piano player and musician than had he pursued his political dreams. Luckily, he chose music over politics.
On her back she has a tattoo - LOVER.
Storm's voice is a stunning and marvelous instrument. The piano player is a magician, playing that instrument like most people flex their own hand. It's a part of him.
May I say, though, that a third star of this performance is that dress Storm is wearing. The textile industry was created to culminate in that dress, on her, in that performance.

Effortless voice with ‘headroom’. No auto tune. No forced notes. She ‘leans’ on the song without pushing it. Great performances. Only the voice is more personal than the trumpet. Plenty of light and shade 👍
