  • We start our multi-part flight VLOG series with an IFR flight to North Carolina, our first stop on the way to Oshkosh! Ivette learns how to create and activate an IFR flight plan and we barely get out of the clouds for a mountain landing. Thanks for flying with us!

    Such a simple, wonderful idea. Write what you expect the tower/departure control will say and include what you believe their response will be. Circle if correct, write in new if different. But there is plenty of time to fill in the items needed. Great method!

    What a great video! The flight planning part was very informative, plus it was so amazing to see your landing at 24A. I went to WCU (just in the valley nearby) in the early '90s and rented an ancient 1960 172 from that airport when going flying felt like a better idea than more hours in the library. In the days before so many fences and gates, that was also a perfect place to look at the stars with a friend with nobody else anywhere around. You brought back some wonderful memories with your video.

      briankgrant that’s so awesome and we’re glad you liked it! The next video has some more nice shots of the valley. It was very different terrain than what I’m used to flying

    So cool love the channel. I’m working on my instrument ticket now. Nice job on crew resource management. Looked like the plane got a good bath in the imc. Also glad you got the visual into an unfamiliar airport with a different landscape than used to. Thanks for showing the decision to go around. Can’t wait to watch the next vids. Stay safe and keep posting.

      Let me know if there are any IFR topics you’d like to see a video, I’m no CFI... but I talk to mine before I post “educational” stuff to make sure I’m not too far off base

    • @7ZeroProductions
      @7ZeroProductions  5 лет назад +1

      We grabbed it off amazon... “ADDTOP” is the brand I think. It works great, but the GoPro gets funky with it... you’ll plug it in and the gorpro will just shut off

    Is Ivette still working on her PPL?

    • @7ZeroProductions
      @7ZeroProductions  5 лет назад +1

      towert7 she is! Paragon Flight has been insanely busy lately and it’s been a pain getting an instructor and a plane when she’s free... so it’s been a little slower than she’d like. But her checkride is on the horizon!

    • @Towert7
      @Towert7 5 лет назад

      @@7ZeroProductions Sounds like what I've been going through. My flight school has also been very busy and the weather has been terrible for XC flights in FL. It seems like I've been trying to complete my first commercial XC lesson for over a month with no luck. I'll be rooting for her when she goes for the checkride. Hopefully the weather mellows out within the next month or two.

      At least she is much more confortable talking with ATC than most people I know that already have their certs

      Yeah, I was feeling that valley RNAV run... especially when 3JM loves to have quirks at the most inappropriate times
