"Great big fuckin' moose there, you can't miss it" LOL
those old foreman guys always have something funny to say 😆
That guy's instruction was annoying.
@klyddkross nah you just have no sense of humor
Lol...typical site boss. Size 2 hat and size 13 shoe..lol
"Just go this way and take a left, then go that way and go right. Cross the tracks twice and vere left. Go right at this place, left at that place, veer right and you are there. Real easy. You can't miss it." lol
😂😂
I got lost in my house after those directions😵💫😵💫😵💫
left left right right left right left left right right right left left left left right left right left left right right then aroud 7 round abouts
Is "go down past the Moose Lodge" the Minnesotan version of "turn left at the Dollar General" like we do down here in the South? :)
i love how older guys describe you where to go for 5 minutes, then ends it with "real easy" and expects you to remember everything you said. damn just send me a pin on google maps bro
Thank you. I used to do materials testing, and the directions given were atrocious. There is zero reason why companies shouldn't be doing this.
I just ended up making a folder for the techs with a picture of the nearest intersection and the jobsite circled. If there was a nearby address, then I noted that too.
Nice rig, I hope at $300k you are getting consistent contracts to cover your cost and make something well to live on. I always appreciate entrepreneurial people and want them to succeed in the most honest and easy way possible. Precisely what we are missing nowadays due to big corporations. Stay safe driver ✌🏽🇺🇲
thank you for the kind words
@@lifewithhelge as a guy who has own lots of trucks(petroleum local work) hope you are getting at least 200 bucks an hour(ie,per ton rate) --
@@dethray1000hmmm I’m actually really curious on this too cause I do the same work as a Owner operator in the Bay Area, people typically pay 120-150/hr and everything is so expensive over here
@@crazymid11 when started in calif in the '70ties by law a transfer unit would get 53 bucks an hour--i started hauling commonditites by the ton and could average 75 or so an hour but because we were rolling all the time my costs were higher--my last gig was a tanker from Nevada to long beach--with two other drivers running almost 24 7 we would gross over 500k a year and my net was about 200k a year--did it for 11 years, retired over 2 years ago--everything is a rip nowdays--glad i am old and done-wish the 27 yo and you well
Nice to finally see a triaxle driver not tailgating in the left lane doing 87 mph and cutting people off In and out of the lanes.
quit calling me out
its a 5 axle
I’m guessing you live in Virginia too. 😂
@@justinstamper6219 so you got the joke
it never ceases to amaze me how big the prices can get.
I've been retired for about 20 years. I used to haul material to feed a cement plant, the last few years part time. KW cab over with a 34' dump, w/R permit. That's a sweet looking truck with all those Alcoa's!! Things have changed, your missing a pedal on the floor! LOL 8) I was so used to shifting 12 up and down I could do it in my sleep, I did some days LOL. I can't believe how smooth the new ones run with the auto! I've done some 2 man long/wide/heavy OTR since I retired, still no auto though. Very nice, thanks for the ride!! 8) --gary
thanks for commenting! yea i still enjoy manual haha
Turn right by the blue moose, back to the left, come around 7th street, back up to 3rd street, you'll see CN yard. Then drive down , you'll see it, dump back there. Love it.
“Great big **fuckin** Moose” 🤣😂 5:33
Can you do a video about the dump truck business? Everything from buying a truck to finding customers.
Where do you live?
That Volvo is slick!!! Such an overbuilt and capable truck.
Thanks!
Kw or Pete will run circles around any volvo

What a Beautiful Rig! I would be Crapping my pants every time that Loader got next to it!
That’s a beautiful truck. Also it’s hilarious how some doubt the price of this truck…. Bro, a pickup truck costs $105k, don’t bring up semi trucks you bought in the 90s and early 2k prices lol… this was very interesting to watch. Subbed 👊🏾🤘🏾👍🏾
Thanks, appreciate the kind words!
My 2024 Ford F600 hooklift was $145k. $300k for a new dump truck is not as outrageous as most people think. Everything is expensive.
I wouldn't trust an NRA member's opinion on what color the sky is, let alone anything else.
That is a very good video that you put out
You are very knowledgeable in your job
I pray that new drivers can watch something like this and learn from you
You are on the ball - hence the heads up on new loads ! Excellent - - -
I hope you do well in that rig. Don’t forget good maintenance!
If he paid 300,000 for this one…..I have one for sale😉
Just a little click bait but the price isnt far off. If I had to guess brand new its $275k

@@lifewithhelge you deserve it!
my 70k truck does the exact same for the same rate as that
that's awesome man!
Good video - thanks .
Badass rig! I only drove those 16s for 3 months and loved it
Idk what it is about dump trucks but I saw a dozen of them brand new probably 2024 working through the target parking lot and they were beautiful
that’s awesome, glad to hear about other fellow truckers
It’s not a “Luxury Dump Truck” without a nice sleeper.
sort of agree... but they don't make dump trucks with sleepers
@@lifewithhelge I actually seen a dump truck recently at the west coast with the smallest sleeper you can get.
@@lifewithhelge is the all of USA? Im aussie and we have a lot with sleepers still. But assume US does less away work for dumpers

I bet Western Star would make you one here in Canada if you wanted.
That’s the best truck I’ve ever seen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
thank you! they do look pretty good 🤩
At our quarries, the drivers are never allowed to exit their truck until leaving the exit gate.
Nice truck! Good luck and be safe..
I wouldn’t air the bags/bellows down when loading to make the truck shorter. Let those machines reach and even beat that board up if you have to. You don’t want to stress your bags trying to air up and pick the load up. They are also made to compensate for the weight difference around the body.
thanks for the tips!
That's exactly what I would do. Inflated bellows can explode when taking a big heavy load when it's dumped fast. He's doing the right thing. Heavy haulers: like, excavator, wheel loader, big dynamos that are loaded on a trailer with a crane: ALL drivers air down their bellows. If the bellows can't pump it up: you're overweight. Bellows should be able to take the load.
Awesome truck ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rhode Island Saying injoy your new Ride 😊😊
thank you sir !
I hope it all works out 👍🏼
Nice looking truck!
Thanks 👍
beautiful truck
That's a nice truck!
Beautiful Truck!
40 years ago, we were building the campground for Splitrock Lighthouse. Lots of trips up and down Hwy 61.
I drive a PACCAR K/W T-880, & I hate where they put the air brakes. It's down by where you'd set your coffee cups. What an asinine ideal. Every truck that I've ever driven has always had the brakes set up high on the dash, like you have, easy & a more natural movement for the driver. Nice vid. thx for sharing. Drive safe. 🤠🤠
Great video, thanks!
Nice truck good luck
That is a gorgeous truck!!!
thanks!
Beautiful truck, take a picture. They don’t stay that way long.
For sure!
Very professional and well spoken. New subscriber.
Welcome aboard!
On the ball , ready to go , set up to work ! Early - good attitude , etc . Be cool - work hard -
Be ready early ! FN A
Bob Nuss has a truck museum in Rochester, his open house is worth the trip.
Gorgeous truck!
Maaaaan I would touch no dirt with that truck lol
You didn't give any specs on your Wolwo(that's from one of the neighbor kids, I thought it was funny) or the box. You didn't talk about the tranny, engine, gearing or what you thought of the ride & handling? This is a 2024 model? Did you install the CB or was that a Volvo option? Maybe you could mention that stuff in your next video & Thanks!
Ill be doing a a separate video all that info
Beautiful truck.
Nice truck bud!
thank you!
Those 3 extra axles looks so weird compared to what we have here in Europe🤠
Nice truck 👍
Thanks 👍
I was going to bust your balls about driving a BMW. My mechanics shop owner has a BMW too. Drivers who tailgate me or cut me off are usually bmws. My wife had dump trucks years ago. Used to call them dirt dummies. Rates were crap back then, hopefully they are better now.
i love my 328d bmw :)
All the lift axles are confusing for an Aussie. 😄
We have maybe 1 and thats it. But our tippers/dumpers nearly always have trailers too
You don't have 50 different countries to deal with like the US does.
@@Failure_Is_An_Optionstill it’s confusing,😅
@300k there young feller, you had better have alot of work and hope for zero break downs, i've seen many owner operators go down fast, little things like, payments need to be paid even if not working, blown engines, rearends, fuel, cleaning, permits, oh ya insurance, would have bought a 75-100k, for good top end used, worked from there, but hey what do i know, oh ya did i mention i was a highway supervisor for 30 years now
thanks for your comment!
Man y'all are nice. If I don't back up at a perfect 90 i get told to fix it or fuck off.
sometimes it is like that sir
Love the truck. Cool video. How many trucks do you run?
sorry im going to need more of these videos
Man... this is a big dog.. nice truck keep it nice...
doing the best i can sir, thanks for your comment
I love my vhd. Definitely doesn't look as clean as yours but nevertheless, it's a solid truck.
dude said all that and ended with “its easy”
Great video! Are you interested in testing vehicle lighting stuff from Suparee? I mean sponsorship.
Potentially. Please send business inquires to:

Looking forward to hear from you.
Good stuff.
I'm guessing the payment on that truck is close to $3000 a month for ten years.
Thats a neat looking truck, is it the 16 litre?
Got off kinda lite,New Century M-100 heavy wrecker on a twin steer W9 Kenworth worth ready for this $ 1.4 million dollars. You could buy 3 of those and have some change for the strip joint if so inclined. But they are furnished with but nothing but the best.
Bro was workin in my hometown I can spot that moose lake on ramp from a mile away and London road I bet you have fun on that hopefully you didn’t have to drive on that all day
it was a nice work day up there in duluth!
I've done asphalt before. Never again. I hated it. Sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt CHUNKS I gladly did but I never wanna deal with asphalt if I ever stop driving Semi's and go back to Class B Dumpers (or dump trailer semi work).
Minnesota 🤝
How many tons you haul? What are the work months? Or do you work all year?
19.5 tons. 8 months or so are busy
@@lifewithhelgeI haul scrap metal local all year here in the metro area
The algorithm sent me.
We don't see very many (none really) volvo dump trucks near me. Nice looking truck. Why choose the volvo over the other brands?
Beautiful truck....That is a huge box, how many yards?
Nice rig I take this is Canada
I deliver fuel to many of construction sites, or pits, or whoever needs it. Funny watching this video , I am based out of Duluth. I have delivered diesel to veit there in that CN yard. Funny how I randomly found your video and I recognize so many of the places you were! I probably have passed by ya on the road!
probably did pass you, i saw a few fuel trucks there
Everyone commenting on costs and making money, he did say 24 Hour Shift. Working harder solves alot of problems.
agreed!
Nice truck, ref the 3 smaller wheels, are they on lift axles? Do you use them to reduce your axle weight? At what weight would have to use all 3?
as soon as i get loaded I have to drop my axles
Beautiful rig... nice 2 c a volvo dump truck... how long have u been trucking
thanks! 9 years
@@lifewithhelge congrats ...just luv d truck... but when u looked into this did u consider buying a petey or Kenny dump truck...
It's impossible to drive that truck fast enough to pay for it.
love All these videos seems like this is something new to a lot of drivers, I had my fist Slam bang, 10 wheeler with trlr in 1981 and weve had the supper tens in NV for the last 15 years or more, always a well known way to make steady revanew.
thanks for your comment. Yes seems like people are enjoying it!
Are you having any issues with the air ride? I wonder how it would do here in Seattle.
not as of yet, air ride still good!
I have a question what is the three small wheel do
How do you get loads for a dump dropping cards off at companys or brokers or word of mouth. thinking about buying a dump trailer for my semi cuz I put a Wet Kit on it so was just Curious>?
short answer: Contractors and Brokers in your area
I had a buddy with a Mack truck like that he got hit by a train I said how was it like getting hooked by a bull
Oooohhh luxury comes in a little heavy. Maybe cut some fancy out and get 21.5 or since we’re “luxury” put an aluminum bed on there and get 23 and you won’t have to haul any big rock
thanks for the tip
Greetings from Maine! Nice truck you have there. Sounds like an automatic. Is it as good with fuel mileage or better than manuel?
for dump trucking i do prefer automatic, yes the truck is auto get about 5.8-6mpg average
That luxury dump truck must be around the same price as the Lucid Air Saphire, which is the fastest EV.
I guess transfers are a thing of the past and big boxes with pusher axles took their place, I've only heard of one fatality where someone walked between a transfer thinking it was a ten wheeler.
yikes!
BR trans-cargas❤️ - 💚 - 💛 - 💙
What kind of weight can you haul with 4 drop axels ? When I drove a triaxle in ont we could only be 40,000kg max
about 19.5 tons
@@lifewithhelge Yes pretty close to here then ,
Can you please explain why would you need the extra axles Is there roads or laws which requires you to have extra axles ??
Great question. Yes each state has its own bridge laws which effect your total legal gross vehicle weight. In Minnesota 6axles gets you the most gvw and still being able to get into city streets and all. there are also 7axle but they are rare for now
Gorgeous truck! All the best in your future. Take good care of it and it’ll outlive everyone else.
That's the plan!
Do you generally get paid tonnage or hourly when working on those large projects?
answered your questions on the live!
Really it’s nice truck but l wasn’t expecting dump truck 300k I thought around 95,000 I think mostly dump trucks only big companies owned because owner operators cannot afford to buy newer or used haif price. So any thanks for give us info and enjoy your beautiful dump truck I hope you will share us more details bye for now
What do you think of the i shift?
mine has an Allison in it. I-shift stay away from
Those instructions alone followed by its easy is just nah
yea sometime they expect you to know what’s going on, even though it’s your first day on that job site, but all you have to do is just ask sometimes, instead of pretend to know everything
What's your gross weight with that truck with all them drop axles
GVW is registered at 69,000. each states has its own regulations and bridge laws
where yall located ?? bc In state of Ga tri axles were banned many years ago & no more 20 ton loads of sand so how many axles are on the ground (5) when loaded ? sob good Job
What your monthly payment if you want to share 😊 on a wonderful new dump, YES you got to get on great side of Loader operator 😊 I have seen mostly good operators who don't just dump first bucket fast, where dump just shake. The dumps going the wrong way. I have had dump drivers who will back into fence lines backing up. Then the supervisor come to me and asks can we cover your nice grass so dumps can drive over it to go out other gate. The ground was just boggy under the grass. In what I saw how this supervisor treated his drivers, it was like just watch your backing better and tell his dricers we are not going to cover soggy grass, just so you can get stuck.
What are the six smaller wheels for that are not on the ground?
answered your question in the LIVE :)
@@lifewithhelge what live?
Sucks other states can’t can’t load like we do in Michigan I haul 33 just in my lead and another 19 in the pup
