When did you break in and record this??? ;-) I was very surprised at what I saw also. The best part is the actual startup of the compressor, you can actually hear it perform one or two compression strokes before it gets up to speed.
My 1999 Kenmore 38 finally stopped working in the summer of 2023. I ran it every summer in the house basement. They do not build quality like that anymore. I will have to look and see if mine is also a hotrod sporty Italian made compressor model also. 😅😂
That's a nice dehumidifier, made by whirlpool for sears. The compressor doesn't start because it can't start under high pressure or it could blow itself up.... lol the vintage ones are the way to go--I own an 80s White Westinghouse and a 90s frigidaire and they work fine. The new ones cost a stupid amount for the quality and end up lasting only maybe 2 or 3 years.
Me and my family use to have one of these, these things are amazing.
I love the numbers on the watt meter!
The Tecumseh AE startup sound is epic

Running as good as it should. I'm looking for an old dehumidifier myself after finding a vintage air conditioner
Will Butter Oh I'm sure they are out there somewhere.
In Italy a Tecumseh is called aspara very cool compressors
What kind of filter does it have and where does it go.
It has no filter.
@@Sharkie626 I have one just like it and I thought there's a filter that goes in the back of it above the water tank.
