I never heard anyone talk about the C#. I'm glad I'm not the only one looking to master it. It's like approaching a dangerous animal; very carefully. Thanks for the tips. Your Careless Whisper sounds right on, also.
Nearship Listen to your favorite players, try to really visualize the sound and emulate it. Also longtones and matching overtones (see Harvey Pittel's video on this) daily. Consistent practice is most important to develop good sound
Your tutorials are quite good though you talk fast. Been back on my alto for a couple of months daily after a break of 11 years and I found your videos excellent so I subscribed. Thanks Mark PS: my wife is teaching piano and has a student learning the PP tune, so hoping to be able to play it together soon ;)
When you play a g f sharp d and low b i can't get the same sound as you i swear there is another note in there or maybe im playing it wrong could someone please explain.
My sax doesn't sound good doing gliss like it doesn't sound like yours at all I don't know why. I can play the song without the gliss and I might not try to do the gliss because I don't know how to do it well
